("I can express my desires coherently through text") The Internet in its current state is no different from a favela, and is objectively becoming tenser, as well as stupider. Even if you were to disregard the reality of it being near impossible to ERP with someone on a mobile device or speaking a different language, there simply aren't as many reliable people as there used to be. Gooners aren't helping the situation, since they actively reject ERP while continuing to invade roleplaying communities.

That's actually my main gripe with AI ERP. Often times it's just too predictable and doesn't really provide anything *new* to the story, basically just extending what I've already written. It's understandable given that's how they are meant to work, but it makes it kinda bland for cooming material.
I've not ERP'd with humans, but I am sure it's more fun in this sense.

It's illegal in the west - outside of half of the US - because if there's even 1 minor out of 1000 you're fucked, not to mention about certain ERP fetishes like ageplay being super illegal and treated like real CP in the UK, CA, EU, etc. So a lot of games just can't advertise that because they don't want to moderate the chat, but they have to moderate it for legal purposes anyway, so why give yourself more shit that has to be moderated if you can just not do that.

League of Maidens has/had an ERP chat though. It's a Diablo 2 like ARPG. Roblox also technically advertises ERP because you can get verified to be an adult, which then lets you do stuff like dating or say bad words.

That game showed me how much of a degenerate I was, I didn't realize I would enjoy exploring scenes where I get raped and abused until I tried it.
