Seems people don’t understand what this game is. It is just like a single player dark souls or bloodborne game. There is a massive world, story, weapons and gear to find, lore, and bosses. There is just a cool forced multiplayer aspect that seemsily combines with your single player experience. Instead of meeting some lore NPC during a quest it will be another player that’s tasked to help you with a goal, and invaders and neutral players with own goals as well.

Eh. I need memezaki to explain what's this game about a bit better. I've been recently emulating bloodborne and it looks a lot more visually impressive than Duskbloods.

I'm afraid that this is going to be justified by the intensive focus on the multiplayer aspect and allowing thing runs as smooth as possible.

And i'm no graphics fag, but it's a bit jarring that they're clearly riding off Bloodborne's great presentation and atmosphere but without really improving it.

Jokes aside, NR was just a testing ground for Duskbloods. The game's development started after Duskblood ones and was made by the C team mainly thanks to the fact the majority of assets were reused. It was cheap and fast to make, but it also tarnished (hehe) their reputation a bit. Japs are more obsessed about image than westerns, and will make changes even if a product succeeds, tho that doesn't mean the changes will be the right ones.

I'm on the fence about Duskblood's concept but it does seem to lean more on the PVE side and having map changes and mutations that people expected NR to have.
Still, I wish they focused on SP with optional MP for games.

He says it started development as a NSW1 title and then nintendo asked them to bring the project onto NSW2 instead. So clearly it was made with NSW1 limitations in mind and just improved the textures and models. honestly, it was a good investment because i got to play everything i wanted to day 1 without having to wait for a pc port and i got to play older games like judgment/lost judgment and 13 sentinels before they got ported off too. i think the day 1 purchase is the only way to justify owning a ps5 since almost everything has been ported off now but it was a decent early access machine.

you're right but i also wanted to play desr so i got to play them at a higher quality when i did play them. then i got to play the exclusives ps5 had until they got ported off, it was a decent purchase. i don't regret it because most of the games i play are single player and story based and waiting for those to get ported sucks, especially when you go to /v/ where people love to spoil games for fun. you can use filters but the odds of getting spoiled by an image is still fairly high like with xenoblade chronicles 3.

2 reasons, the first is because i preordered it and didn't really know about the smaller changes, the second is that i wanted to grief the everliving fuck out of people as old monk. it was really really fun bullying people as old monk again and i was getting super quick queues. if it gets a pc port, i highly recommend getting it just for the old monk griefing because you will 2 shot all the faggots that went royal for their easy mode.

if you played des when it was new, you should understand the appeal. it's still the best pvp boss that from has ever done because it's not you+the boss, it's you as the boss.

the bad changes are a small fraction of the game, the quality of life changes are really good. you can mod out encumbrance on pc and achieve the same effect but i'm also someone that doesn't typically care about being the red man and old monk is just special. you're completely overpowered and being able to have the 1v1 duel as someone's boss fight is still too cool of an idea.

100% recommend buying the pc port whenever it comes out just for that fight, you can mod out all the other shit anyway and it's way too fun to use the scraping spear and break all the opponents gear while also cucking them on the boss.

that's cool but i literally played des when it was brand new and still liked the remake because the core gameplay is fun and you can't emulate that multiplayer experience when archestones has 20 players on if you're lucky. it's the best way to actually play demon's souls, the whole of the game. when the pc version releases with mods that revert the ost(which is a way bigger deal than the fat official and flamelurker) then it won't even be up for debate.

but yeah, if you're a soulsfag it was worth it. maybe not now because i imagine the multiplayer is dead but the pc release would be popping. i'd probably triple dip on that honestly.

It's a PvP game with PvE objectives. It's like Dead by Daylight or Tarkov, you are forced to interact with the PvP in every match, it's the entire point of the game. It's like Left 4 Dead but you're forced to play in VS mode.

If you're in depth of night just switch to teams, it stops being fun solo around depth 3. Teams start getting good again around depth 5 and the game is actually even better than it was before because everyone in depth 5 is actually good at the game. Crazy people hate on nightreign when 3 player depth 5 fights go absolutely crazy.
