Beenox were fucking AMAZING with the huge amount of fucking content we got for Nitro Fueled. We got every single fucking track from the sequel game, we got every single fucking racer from the sequel game, we got a fucking massive amount of new characters practically all of them voice acted, and we got at least 8 entirely new tracks designed by Beenox themselves added over the duration of a year PLUS we got several new gamemodes that were absolutely not part of the original game. AND, every single fucking thing in the cosmetic shop was possible to buy with coins you earned for just playing the game. The literally only form of MTX they had were the ability to buy bundles of the earnable cash for the shop, like Helldivers 2.

Fuck you, Beenox were fucking amazing in every way. The only reason the game fell off is because Activision is retarded and ordered the devs to stop working on the game and go work on Cowadoody again.

Honestly, I'm gonna say
TWoC > CNK > Twins > CTTR > MoM > Titans

TWoC's only crime is that it's a worse Warped with some very questionable design decisions but it's still a complete Crash game.

CNK nails everything except for the gameplay. The game not having reserves, different fire levels, and no interesting physics makes it awful to play and there's genuinely no reason to play it over CTR.

Twins is unfinished and not very good, and I'm not a fan of how it started the flanderization for all the characters but I would have been fine with that if Twins was the odd one out and the overly wackier characters were just a Twins thing.
Ant Agony is a good level though

Don't care for CTTR at all, I find it even more boring than CNK. Pasadena's hot though

I don't care much for the Titans series but MoM is definitely better than Titans and I like the game's aesthetic but not the character designs.
Gameplay is pretty boring to me, I don't think it's a great beat em up and would choose to play many other Crash games over any of the two.

Amazing community, they're literally a bunch of italians and brazilians still playing on CRTs. I remember trying to create an account on one of their leaderboard pages a couple of years ago, and they asked to email your username and password to get registered.
Old CTR had a lot of depth: USF was limited and you couldn't boost, speedghosts, U-Turn sacrificed all your reserves, frogging, extremely hard unintended shortcuts, etc. There was a lot of planning on each track, not like NF where you just have to grab Blue Fire and boost it until the end of the race.
Now that we have lots of custom tracks I can enjoy the game again.

Also the best GDQ run I've seen was Hypnoshark's where he was nailing all the impossible tricks until Tiny Arena killed his run.

I think the issue arises from trying to reinvent the wheel entirely instead of expanding on what works. Wrath of Cortexs main problem is being a clone of Warped, down to its main issues of an abundance of unfun vehicular levels but then you have Twinsanity doing something more open with collectibles being meaningless. Then wild deviations with the Titans games. I think people want a Crash game like the originals but with bigger or more expansive levels and collectibles that are fun to obtain. Or maybe something like Jak: TPL with collectibles and items to be found in an interconected world and still keeping the core box smashing and platforming elements.

A proper non-tranny Catbat would've been perfect for the N. Gin boss fight in Crash 4, with the whole rock show theme going on. They won’t make a new game.

They’ll just re-release CTR:NF on current gen consoles and PC, with fixed load times (hopefully) and maybe some new content like track or two and skins from Crash 4. Ideally we’d get whole Nitro Kart campaign, since they already made all the tracks and characters it’d just need cutscenes and hub world, but I highly doubt that will happen.

Fixing the unlocks to not be a massive grind would be ideal. NF was great progression of unlocks if you were playing online during its support period, but without the massive only coin boost unlocking stuff takes way too long. Hopefully a re-release would fix it, ideally I think tying unlocks to specific things, EG getting a Gold relic on Megamix Mania unlocks Megamix. Stuff like that, there’s enough activities and more than enough unlocks to give rewards for every game mode on every track.
