On one hand I respect the man's tenacity to be able to work on this single game for over a decade, even with all the hate and ridicule thrown towards him. On the other hand, it feels like a huge exercise in sunk cost fallacy. The man is completely dysfunctional and his behaviour gives off the impression of a covert narcissist, and it's clear that this entire project is him flying way too close to the sun. Continuing to put so much time into this game isn't something that's going to benefit him in the long run, and the healthier and more reasonable option would probably be to cut his losses and work on smaller, more manageable projects. But we all know he's never going to do that. I don't even hate him, I feel pity towards him.

This game has been in development for so long that it was supposed to look modern when it began but it already looks retro by our standards today.
He was inspired by Hitman. In the time it's been in development, Hitman got an entire revival with several games and even trying out VR features.
There have been SEVERAL people who made better games with the same premise and actually had a finished product.
People have actually made leaderboards for how quickly they can get banned from the game's discord.

I think Star Citizen is more of a scam, but to their credit they at least pretend to be making progress, and this will eventually need to release it to keep up appearances. I think the Yandere is just full dead at this point
