Wii U also had crazy high initial sales 1.5 million in the first month (at the time was super high) but that quickly fell by the wayside Obviously the Switch 2 is doing even better than the Wii U's initial sales period But we won't know anything substantial for 2-3 more years

Without fail, you guys never post what games you actually play. You just ignore the question. These posts ARE your game.

I just wish Nintendo was encouraging third parties to do Switch 2 upgrades or at least gave us the option to use Docked Mode in Handheld, accepting that there may be issues.

Games like Pizza Tower look like fucking ass on Switch 2 in handheld mode, and a lot of games would benefit from their docked resolution and sometimes framerate increase.

You never know which way a Nintendo system could go really. Switch 2 could easily have went the WiiU way. If normjes all decided "I already have a Switch". But it seems the "2" maybe is the deciding factor here.

I hope we start to see more upgrades. Nintendo had a slow roll out of dev kits and it's only been 3 months since release so I'm hoping we get more upgrades in the near future.

It will most likely depend on how much sales potential third party developers see in making a Switch 2 Edition, if it's a game that didn't do particularly well and stopped selling a long time ago I wouldn't expect it even if it could really benefit from it. Nintendo however just said in the investor meeting that they intend to keep making Switch 2 Editions to plug release gaps of new games so I'm sure we could even see stuff like, say, Metroid Dread in a year even if it's not still relevant like Animal Crossing or Mario Wonder.

Kirby Air Riders is out in 2 weeks.

I never expected it to do poorly, but it is disappointing to see that people are fine with Nintendo being "better than the other guys" when that bar is the lowest it has ever been. The entertainment industry is pretty fucked, overall.
