Clefable is also fairy, meaning it resists the two most used moves in the game rather than being weak to them. Also chimecos hp is way lower than clefs, its not nearly as bulky. Its move pool is also way more limited than clefs, best you can hope for it to do is knock off a couple of things and click heal bell vs stall. Now take a look at reuniclus. It has better stats than both of them, has magic guard, has an actual movepool, and its still an ru shit mon. Chimeco is not goong to be worth the teamslot, waste of a good design. Should have just been a normal evo.

This was the most repetitive game they've ever released, only exacerbated by the fact it's all the same map and every part of that map looks the same and you'll be hearing the same 2 songs all game. The story was poorly paced and most story elements went nowhere, and the utterly barren postgame makes SwSh's look good. The DLC being half the price of the game and coming out so soon and just being repetitive tasks in the same map I got tired of in hour 4 is like a slap in the face, in a time they're already bleeding goodwill with the palworld lawsuit. I usually buy everything but not even I want this, they genuinely aren't even trying anymore.

Chimecho still has a pretty veratile movepool for a support mon with twave encore taunt icy wind wish recover and psychic noise. It also has the ability to set up and be a threat with stored power calm mind unlike clef

Reuniclus sucks for the same reason base form Chimecho sucks. Pure Psychic is an absolute ass defensive typing. Reuniclus' extra bulk means jack shit because it's typing is so cheeks, and the "actual movepool" is really just full of more coverage moves that will barely matter most of the time since you're just gonna set up with calm mind anyway. This is why Reuni has always played as a breaker and not and actual defensive mon, because it can't play defensive with it's ass typing and limited support movepool

Psychic/Steel especially with Levitate is so much of a better typing than pure psychic it's not even comparable


I'd also like to point out that pic rel is Mega Sableye's stats. They can turn shit mons into broken Megas if they really want to.

I will concede in that it is much better than pure psychic. I still dont see it being that good, cause now its a bronzong with no hazards or explosion.
Mega sabl works because its a spin blocker that doesnt lose to any spinners and is immune to toxic. Even in nat dex its not losing to great tusk or iron treads. Not really a fair comparison, especially since as you said its most likely keeping levitate, which again would just make it a a slightly more bulky passive bronzong. Itll probably be some ru shitmon storedpowered sweeper at best.
