I've been like this since I was 10. Any time it thunderstorms, I stay in the bathroom for God knows how long til the storm is over. I have my noise canceling headphones listening to music on full blast just so I can't hear thunder or lightning. So say I was gaming, know there's a thunderstorm happening, and put my headphones on to deal with it. But the moment I feel the entire building shake is when fear just takes over and I refuse to get out of the bathroom.
I tried getting help from everyone but nothing works. I have no insurance to get therapy either so I've no clue what to do.
I've been reading about exposure therapy so I was wondering would listening to ASMR of Thunderstorms from just simple thunder noises to full blown lightning storms count as exposure therapy?
