I assume it’s one of the holdover scenes just from lack of redundancy. Chase hammers home how much he hates IG at least once an episode, so you really don’t need another scene doing it too.
So far my guess is that coupe got cut, which is why Malevola is so chill with Robert in episode 5 while he gets a nut shot from Punch Up, and there was a love triangle rather than definitely choosing one or the other, with Blazer dragging him up for a dance to ratchet up the drama and spur the reveal/confession next episode.

It's okay, it grew on me. Biggest issue is that it doesn't impact the story in any way, all you get is more bonuses for future dispatching. If there's an endless mode it would need severe changes to game mechanics to function, but the foundation is there, I'm more interested in how they will evolve this system in future games than the endless mode
I still like the point&click hub sections from old telltale more mostly because they allowed me to talk to characters at my pace and with all of them, here I regularly go into the level up screen to pause the game so I can hear all the conversations and even then I barely know some of the characters like what else Punch Up does other than punch penises and bleach bitches
