I think the voices themselves sound fine enough, it's just that the director didn't really give enough of a shit to make their voices match up with the original version of the game.
Mythra's probably the worst example of this. She's supposed to be an absolute brat that keeps lashing out on everybody because she wants nothing more than to let Pyra walk them to their deaths, but Mythra just sounds unfittingly mature to distinguish herself from Pyra in the English dub. It makes her antics with Rex go from endearing to:

I feel like temperatures should have varied more across the entire game and shouldn't have been as easy as slapping on a piece of Rito or Desert Voe armor (or Flamebreaker). Hot and lava areas are too rare and it's never necessary to cross into a snowy area before you could reasonably get the Rito armor (not counting Great Plateau, which you get the Doublet for).

This game is… a mixed bag, to be sure
The first 2 chapters take place before Sonia’s death, which was a lovely opener. Honestly, I feel like the phoned this opening in. With AOC, they didn’t really have to do and character work, as the memories already did that. With this game, Koei Techmo were tasked with giving the characters actual depth. Needless to say, they dropped the ball. No character has any, well, character. That is, of course, barring a few choice characters. Calamo actually has a decent arc. They tried to give an arc to Ardi, but they utterly shat the bed.

Speaking of disappointment, Ganondorf utterly broke me in terms of sheer wasted potential. I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the coolest depiction of Ganondorf the series has seen, except for MAYBE TP. This Ganondorf was definitely the most powerful, causing 3 extinction events and defeating Link not once, but twice. The big issue with Ganondorf in the wild era is his lack of character. Ganon in BOTW was nothing more than a natural disaster, and Ganondorf in TOTK was a bland, undercooked, Saturday morning cartoonishly evil guy. There were a few hints that he could’ve been more, perhaps something akin to windwaker’s depiction, but nothing ever came of it in TOTK.

So it goes to show just how excited I was to see the series have another go at this incarnation of evil. Would he be a struggling king? Would he have the firm loyalty of the Gerudo for a large portion of the story? Would we maybe have something similar to Ganon’s missions from the original Hyrule Warriors? No. He has a combined total of maybe 30 minutes of screentime, and most of that footage is RIPPED FROM THE TOTK MEMORIES. I wasn’t initially mad at the implementation of the memories being cutscenes, but after seeing how they were handled, I am downright disgusted. There is no development of this character. In fact, I’d say he is less of a character than he was in TOTK! Such a waste of potential.

It has the best musou combat with elemental synergies and team attacks and it actually gets hard on higher difficulties since they limit your healing and you don't fully heal when you level up anymore. But it still has the thing from AOC where it's not really a true musou where you are bouncing around trying to prevent your bases from getting captured and you're usually just progressing through linear levels fighting a bunch of bosses. The mission selection menu has some of that where regions will randomly be under attack and you have to do missions to stop them or else the region gets captured and you cant access the missions in that region until you take the area back
