No one will read this but I've always thought that in terms of visual design you could lean into making Owlman appear more mechanical or soulless. Think of the "cloak" or beetle-like shoulder armor and mask of Enclave power armor for example. A similar silhouette would look good with his design and invoke imagery of an owl. Batman is already hi-tech nowadays but Owlman ought to lean into that and be way more intimidating, since he's not going to hesitate to swoop in and murder you anyway.

The Dark Multiverse was always kinda funny. Like I'm pretty sure it's SUPPOSED to be dumb bullshit, and everyone realizes it. Owlman is just putting it to words. The Dark Multiverse is shallow as fuck, built on shakey foundations. Half of it doesn't make sense. It's supposed to be a literal nightmare world, and nightmares don't have to be logical.

The Batman Who Laughs is a good example of this. Somehow, Joker beats Batman, ties him up and drags him to Crime Alley. There, Batman watches helplessly as Joker murders any bystander who happens by. He's not being subtle about it, he just fucking blasts them with a gun. No one apparently hears the gunshots. No one notices to comically large stack of corpses. Batman is weirdly helpless in a situation that any other Batman would have dealt with easily. Then Batman snaps, breaks free, and kills the Joker, which causes a toxin to escape from his heart that Jokerizes Batman. It's stupid and contrived, but it's a nightmare. It's supposed to be. And if things ended at that, it would have been fine. The issue is that Batkeks grossly overstayed his welcome. He was too shallow a character to have much legs, and should have died the same arc he debuted in.
