For me it was slightly different. I come from a very conservative family and country so the expectation was that my parents would find someone for me to marry once I got a job.

I got an extremely good job out of college but my parents didn't hold their end of the bargain. I waited like some retard and got older. Should have been more assertive and found a girl to marry myself. Now I roam around r9k helping younger chuds to move away from this hellhole
