>>526517026I don't know but initially I rushed to preorder one because I really want to eventually have one with CFW if it is ever developed. But now its seeming like there's plenty of stock, and it probably won't be hard to get a hackable one if/when that happens. So I decided to cancel my preorder and just wait to see what happens.
I remember I bought the switch 1 two years after release and it took me a while to find a hackable one, but it wasn't really that hard to find.
>>526517897yeah I have a friend who got one for his sister off of ebay years after release, it's want hard to find at all and the price was in line with any other used switch 1 on the market.
I think I'll just wait and see desu, it's not like there are any games I would actually want to play on it.
>>526519325>it's not like there are any games I would actually want to play on it.Yeah, in my case having the switch 1 with CFW has been extremely nice, its still my primary device for emulation and I use it frequently, so upgrading to the switch 2's specs is very enticing. Plus there is one game coming out that I do want to play, and I'd like to at least try the others, but the prices are just absolutely absurd so I won't ever buy them.
>>526517713 (OP)first dump of switch 2 cartridge when?
Question. It's been a while since I originally modded my switch, but I can't seem to get back to the hekate menu.
I can turn off and boot into normal stock firmware, and I can plug it into my computer and go into recovery mode then use tegra to get back into cfw, but it bypasses the regular menu where you can pick/access other hekate options and boots right into the cfw. Any Idea on how I can get that menu back?
>>526517897It starts.

>>526520202iirc you hold L during boot, if your "issue" is having enabled autoboot. Otherwise you can change that setting in the inis or do a clean install (which in your case will do basically nothing, as in stuff will work just as it did before, except hekate will have this kind of setting reset to defaults)

Switch 1 was off the shelf nvidia issue, Switch 2 is custom, much more complicated, just play it
btw if youre console is banned you can still transfer saves but this prodinfo is now tainted ive used it and my mate used it and will probably get banned in the next couple of days
prodinfo: https://files.catbox.moe/46kps1.bin
save on sd as PRODINFO
you need this payload: https://github.com/suchmememanyskill/TegraExplorer/
modified ams exoshpere to support the prodinfo:
https://files.catbox.moe/dzs6w3.bin
launch tegra explorer payload, backup your prodinfo, then goto sd card on there find the one you downloaded, click on it, click copy to clipboard, then go to sysmmc and paste it, it will flash the prodinfo
next you need to edit your hekate ipl ini file and add to your ams config
secmon=path to modded exosphere.bin
after this you should be able to boot and you will be unbanned transfer your sdaves to the switch 2 when youre done you can restore your original prodinfo

>>526555635I've got a Switch 2 I was thinking of returning but I realized I've never actually completed a single game on my switch OLED. I was thinking of returning it because I'd rather just wait for an OLED Switch 2 but I'm kind of compelled to just update it and then put it back in the box or something and wait for the exploit. Tough choice honestly.
>>526556891Yeah, it executes code just how games execute code, but it's still in userland so it can't actually mess around with the stuff needed for most homebrew (and definitely not for CFW) because it doesn't have the permissions for it. That's why the focus now is on finding a new exploit, that can dig deeper into the Switch and get more permissions, to continue the chain.
>its being used to dump files alreadyDumping files is one thing, being able to install and run unsigned code is another. The PS5 started getting game dumps a while ago, then it took a while longer after that to actually manage to install them, but they can't actually be played (or something like that, it was a while ago and I haven't been following PS5 closely).
TL;DR: Just because files are getting dumped doesn't mean we're getting the ability to install homebrew / games next week.
>>526555495i bought 2, i can afford it. i'm going to move my oled over and sell that to one. leave other boxed. no hack? just sell it years down the line for some retarded price like an asshole.
Remember when M$ and Nintndo seemed buddy-buddy, and we assumed it was just about cross-platform games? What if they were also collaborating on securing the Switch 2, similar to how Xbox handles things? We buy into the whole "console wars" narrative, thinking they're on separate teams, but in reality, they're more aligned than we realizeโespecially when it comes to taking our money.
>>526560470>What if they were also collaborating on securing the Switch 2the switch was secure the only issue was down to nvidia
>>526560470What does MS get from helping secure Nintendo's console?
Not to mention that the two consoles are fundamentally different in their security model. Xbox' security is built around HyperV, while the Switch's is centered around their microkernel with a very small attack surface and stringent isolation on all software including drivers.
>>526560598Yeah, talking about the hardware. There's a great video on YouTube from an Xbox systems engineerโgoes deep into how they locked it down. Pretty wild. Still no meaningful exploits since the original Xbox One.
>>526561281Well, since Microsoft is putting more of their games on other platforms, it benefits them. It keeps you paying, no matter where you play.
>>526555495Play it. Be VERY selective of what you buy. I'm not getting anything outside this list.
And stick to Switch 1 for piracy; it'll be getting new games for quite a while still.

>>526574524Yep, see picrel. SDs that aren't Express can only be used for screenshots and videos.

>>526575615You can't actually use them for pictures and videos either. It's ONLY for copying your screenshots and videos to system memory. If you put the card in at any point that's not the system settings and prompted to, it bitches at you to take it out. Hello, I've been trying to get some PSX games onto my PS2's Harddrive via PFS Batchkit and despite setting up a __.POPS partition on my drive via the program after I try to check to make sure it's there, and it isn't. every attempt I make to transfer games over it gets stuck on the detecting POPS partition step. Which emulators work with Aroma on Wii U?
>>526764614the only thing that ever bans you is installing pirated games on the nand you go online with, that's it. At worst, some save editing might put you at ban risk but it heavily depends on the game, usually it's fine to do. Obviously it means just running cfw is not a risk, so you don't need to do anything but just boot into the nand with no pirated games (which is usually the sysnand) and do everything there

I mainly want my pre-hack saves on the new console without resetting it. I assume I will have to update sysnand through ninty, burning my fuses, but that ship has since sailed far away I don't think we'll ever get coldboot. I don't suppose I can update sysnand with daybreak and not get flagged?
>do it straight from your nand full of pirated shitMy sysnand has no pirated shit and it shouldn't be banned as I never touched it after the hack, everything's on emu. You mean to say I don't have to transfer saves from emu to sys? I wouldn't mind having pirated saves on my switch 2 but isn't that just asking for a ban later on? Or would ninty assume I just had a cart from someone else and that's how I have save data?
>>526818674Return to the Halls. NOW.
>>526818853>I mainly want my pre-hack saves on the new console without resetting itwhich are still on the sysnand? If so then you don't have to do anything, just boot on the sysnand and transfer. If the saves are on the emunand you have to transfer them, and as i said they might be risky depending on the game, but given they'd come from games you pirated (which means they don't have online) you should be safe
>I don't suppose I can update sysnand with daybreak and not get flagged?i'm pretty sure you can but there's no real reason to. Or rather, the only reason would be it not messing up your setup, as updating via sys cfw means you still keep hekate as the bootloader so stuff like autorcm doesn't get overwritten
as for what nintendo assumes idk, and honestly i think they'd just ban the switch 1 instead cause they wouldn't want you to be soured on the switch 2 you just bought (it's the same reason they don't ban accounts, they want you to come back to them and buy games)

>the only reason would be it not messing up your setupI don't mind setting up the 1 again, I still have my jig stored in the console's case. The only real reason for me then would be keeping fuses intact (see picrel)

>>526837406>>526837582ok yes that's indeed my concern, I plan to do the transfer from the initial setup. I'm better off just moving the saves over to sysnand then with no prodinfo magic?

>>526837968>full transferyou just made me realize there's no point to it as I assume the transfer saves option includes those not compatible with cloud saves like pokemon right?
If so I can simply copy over my saves from emu to sys, transfer from there, and that way I keep them in emunand as well to keep playing there. This removes the hassle of a full saves backup.
However, if I were to use the tainted prodinfo to transfer from emunand, couldn't I just copy the saves from the sd card on my pc to a folder, let them be deleted by the transfer and then copy them back in? I'm thinking this would be faster than using jksm for all saves

>>526839525i didnt play brilliant diamond yet but wanted oaks letter and the ticket for darkrai island i bought the cart so my switch 2 doesnt collect dust kek and i think save editing is fine people edit saves and cheat in splatoon without getting banned its only piracy that nitendo detect because game certs are sent to their servers when you launch them but you dont have a game cert when you pirate
>>526839525Edited stuff that's "hidden" to look legit (like genned pokemon with all the proper stats, IDs etc) are fine because the games see them as legit.

That said, some people have been turning their switches on to update to 20.1.1 because it's the first actually functional firmware, and so they can download the stuff required to use the SD card (which will probably be needed for whatever exploit crops up).
That said, it's still up to you whether or not you want to risk it.
19 is dumb, even if something comes out, you're going to need to be able to boot a game to do it.

That reminds me, does anyone know if the physical versions of games like Mario Kart and Cyberpunk have the 20.1.1 FW update included, or if it's a lower one / no FW update at all?
>>526923650apparently they come with 19.1.0 but I didn't check myself
also my 2 cents regarding to update vs don't update: if you want to use your system for normal gameplay obviously update, if you have a spare or are just keeping it to hopefully hack eventually don't update unless you think whatever potential hack will require the unhacked firmware to read micro sd express cards, I'd assume if an eventual hack needed a higher than 19.0 firmware there'd be a cart out there with it on it you could use to update an unupdated system (but since using micro sd cards requires connecting to the internet first even on an updated system it won't work if one of those would be required)

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask a question. I was thinking about upgrading the microSD I use for my SD2Vita when I realized I may have had a misconception. For some reason, I was under the impression that you had to choose between the SD2Vita or the Vita memory card to run Adrenaline or Vita games, but thinking about it, this doesnโt seem right. So everyone says "just tell Nintendo of America about your frustrations with the price, stop spamming le chat with 'drop the price'!!!" but obviously Nintendo doesn't listen.
So what if I contacted a certain entity that has power over a corporate entity such as Nintendo?
That's right. The government.
What if I contacted the government and told them about all of the BS Nintendo has done (not just the price, that's like Al Capone doing tax evasion; not even the worst thing they did)
And what if the situation... escalated? What if a certain mecurial and demented president suddenly butted in and said/did some insane shit to scare Nintendo into actually dropping the price? I.E "If you don't drop the price, I will ban the sale of ALL OF YOUR CONSOLES BIGLY!"

buying a switch 2 right now just to not update it in hope of an exploit is foolish.
the current switch 2 is awful, terrible screen, terrible battery, sticks that are prone to drift.
the high IQ move is to wait for the switch 2 lite or switch 2 oled/v2 and then just use whatever exploit is available then (hardware, software or modchip)
>>527134134>and then just use whatever exploit is available then (hardware, software or modchip)nintendo's switch 1 fuckups really spoiled you retards, huh
there will be no hardware exploit, there will be no modchip.
any software exploit will be patched immediately. if one is available by the time a new hardware revision is released, it will not work on that revision unless the consoles were manufactured right before the exploit was patched
>>527134134I don't even use video games portably.
So the quality of the screen, battery, and so on is meaningless to me.
>>527069736wait, does this mean if i have an unhacked switch 1 and use migswitch with games i got online i can play fine?

>>527134608Can you also tell me if I will be married in 2028? Also what will the price of Bitcoin be?
>>527134467switch 2 might very well have the highest number of people actively working on finding an exploit, they will easily find ones.
historically a consooe getting cracked never depended on how tight the security was but rather on how many people are actually trying to crack it, that's why xbox console are so resilient, not enough people give a shit about hacking them
>>527134712are you trying to say that nintendo manufacturing a new hardware revision and intentionally flashing an old, known vulnerable firmware onto it is something that can totally happen?
i swear on my name and honor that the switch 2 will be cracked before 2026
>>527134512yeah as long as the cert that comes with the dump is the correct one idk if theres a way to tell though
>>527134773>switch 2 might very well have the highest number of people actively working on finding an exploit>a consooe getting cracked never depended on how tight the security wasyou're an idiot
the ONLY reason switch 1 was so easily hacked was because of several big security fuckups, RCM being the main one. a trivial pre-boot hardware exploit is a best case scenario and allowed people to freely dig around in the system as much as they wanted, which made it easier to design a modchip for later hardware, but they found jack shit in the kernel beyond the early versions.
the kernel is simple and secure, and yes, this absolutely matters when it comes to how likely it is to be hacked you dumbass. nintendo followed the "don't fix what aint broken" approach and just re-used most of the firmware for switch 2, with all the existing fixes and security hardening, there's not much new, potentially-vulnerable code to find.
basically the only hope for switch 2 hax is another major hardware fuckup (extremely unlikely that they would make this mistake twice), or some sekrit club faggot still holding on to an unfixed kernel exploit found on switch 1 (which they likely won't release until it's patched, if at all)
>>527135687i see thank you, i will look into into it more
>>527134918Obviously not. But an exploit could be discovered after the hardware revision.

>>527134134>terrible screen, terrible batteryhyperbole anon...
>sticks that are prone to drift.this wouldn't change even on the oled pro lite though
>>527140353the screen was hyperbole but the battery is really bad, it lasts 2 hours on games like mario kart world, on games like zelda totk the switch oled could do close to 6 hours, switch v2 did more than 5 hours and switch lite 4 hours
2 hours is really awful without any exaggeration
>>527140863those games are also not running like they did on switch 1, oled or v2. The other handheld pcs like the deck or whatever have similar issues, any game that isn't indie mario clone means battery lasts a few hours at most
>>527139782Yes. But again, why would updating through the stock firmware break anything other than hekate or atmosphere, I should still be able to boot the stock firmware, I've done it like this many times.
>>527142235yes, you're right, you should be able to boot ofw with the volume buttons, but modchips can be finnicky like that, I'd just use hekate to boot ofw and forget about it. but if you have emummc and it also broke after updating ofw, no idea what it could be
>>527134773>switch 2 might very well have the highest number of people actively working on finding an exploit, they will easily find ones.Name five
>>527143306real hackers hack in silence
>>527142541Emu I have worked out, I just need to go back to atmosphere 1.7.1.
Yeah, I'm just gonna boot semi and live with that until the next update, see what happens. It hasn't happened before with my modchip, but I guess maybe it is now.
>>527141041the switch 1 uses older hardware, you seem to be under the impression that more powerful chip = more energy, that's true at a given time but not when comparing things years apart, a 30w chip today can squeeze much more power than even a chip that uses more than 100w from ears ago
the switch 2 has poor battery life not because the games are suddenly more demanding but just because they cheaped out on the chip and put a small battery.
switch 2 has a 20wh battery, pc handhelds tend to have 50 or more and naturally crush the switch 2 battery life, and they can lower and increase wattage to one's liking, the switch doesn't, you are stuck with the shitty battery no matter what

I'm seeing a lot of back & forth but realistically if I wanted a hacked Switch 2 what's my best option, buying one now and leaving it disconnected from the internet and the lowest firmware possible?
Or see if a hack actually comes out and then buy one at the time. I'd hate to see a hack come out that requires an early model or low firmware and not be able to get one.
>>527172203Any early firmware can't boot anything, so buy and update now.
>>527172203update to 20.1.1, update exfat, update any sw1 games you plan on playing. buy only physical sw2 games (you can sell later) and maybe don't go beyond dk bonanza (if it has 20.1.1 or lower on the cart) take offline and pray whatever we might get isn't as terrible as ps5 and xbox hacks.
>>527172712>>527172995I'm not very technical but out of interest, how come 20.1.1 is the best chance for a hack?
>>527174885the fw the system comes with is basically useless, I believe you can only go into settings and the album. Updating to 20.1.1 allows you to link an account (it may be required for hax later on), download something from the eshop like a demo or free gaem for possible hax loading, and it allows you to download the required exfat drivers/licenses(not sure if that's what they are) so you can use an sd express offline (most likely required for hax)
>>527176112I think my only chance to get one now is on back order so it might take over a month, in that time do you think a new firmware will have come out that'll fuck up my hack chances?

>>527176112>download something from the eshop like a demo or free gaem for possible hax loadingto be fair if this is a requirement then you'd have to be on the latest firmware when a hack is released unless you already had whatever game/app is needed downloaded

Can you transfer a save from a pirated game (emunand) to your Switch 2?
>>527458638It works, not much to say.
>>527426860You were never going to turn a profit anyways. The money is from the youtube videos, not the act of buy a console lot which 75% are basketcases with no usable parts.
Same thing with the /diy/ world. The live edge or resin poured table, the rebuilt stereo consoles, etc etc. They claim they sell this shit to yuppies for big money, but its all a lie to make money on youtube.
>>527432350>>527486196>Youtube's faultBut I got this idea not because of youtube, but because of YOU guys telling me it'd be a good idea last thread
>>527498074because you're not retarded
are you?
>>527458638if you really want to be safe get a separate sd card, one you likely have lying around, and put android on it, cause yes the switch can run android. From there you can use whatever you like and risk no bans cause at that point the switch doesn't communicate with nintendo at all, as you're running a completely different system. When you're done simply swap back the sd cards to get to the proper switch system, there's a guide in op that explains it
>>527498074cause all in ones like that add a gorillion shit and if stuff goes wrong you can't know why without manually removing everything until you get it, at that point you might as well also install the needed stuff on its own. It's really only 3 things you need when updating the system: the new atmosphere, the new hekate and the new sigpatches, everything else is accessory, and those 3 things are as easy to get as the all in one packages are
>>526517713 (OP)>PS4: .../10.0x/11.00how do these work? I'm pretty sure that's where i'm at, i last booted my PS4 last year in like july or something

>>527519287its similar in output, in fact its able to push 20V where the older one can do up to 15V. remember you can just compare the output on each charger
>>527519287Probably not, last I heard, switch 1 isn't exactly usb c compliant, it'll work for a while, then fry the m92, like they all do.
now that the mig flash 1.2.0 firmware is out, can the dumper dump switch 2 cartridges yet?
>>527523569doubt it given even that firmware can't do anything with switch 2 games, all it does now is making switch 1 games work on switch 2
which i mean i guess it's still something, i wonder if it's because migswitch happened late enough for nintendo to not be able to patch how it works on the base switch 2 model
>>527523864I want the cartridge dumped raw, i don't give rats ass about the switch 2 game files.
I want the update partition so that I can begin processing the firmware files, as they by design are backwards compatible and will always use a common key available to the base system firmware (in switch 1, it is master_key_00)
So where should I buy a 3DS XL in 2025? I heard some people saying I should buy in Japan, well I actually happen to live in Japan but the Amazon prices are pretty bad so I dunno where to find one.
so i open my switch 2 box, update it, and put it back in the box? is that the best idea for now if I'm in it for homebrew?
>>527525979Probably the best bet, yeah. Don't forget to put in an SD card to download the stuff needed for them to work, too.
>>527525979just use it, whatever softmod that comes out is gonna suck

>>527526845i have nothing to "use" on it, don't own a switch 1 or any games. what's the deal on the MIG? switch 1 game backups but no dlc/updates?
>>527527015pretty much ye
>>527527015>switch 1 game backups but no dlc/updates?Yes, but also the risk of a ban if you use dumps that aren't "perfect".
There were some anons talking about it recently, not sure if it was in this thread or the previous one.
>>527528618to be fair it's not just "perfect" dumps, it's straight up unique dumps. As in you can only really get to being 99% (cause they may still ban you even then if they manage to detect the migswitch being used, which afaik still doesn't happen) safe if you literally buy the game yourself and then dump it AND you don't give the game away after, which makes the whole thing moot
Then again, you can also just not care about being banned
>>526912163All I can say is I have made it work. I did have problems with FTP to PS2 ironically, until I didn't and I still don't know why. Hope it gets solved.
>>527457496>>527457798I guess the problem is that the system is not fully pwned and al executable loading is handled by the non-pwned parts and this needs to be reimplemented? On switch you just call the relevant APIs and use sigpatches
>>527525426buy a broken one, from yahoo
>>527519287It will at least work at a slower speed.

can i play switch carts on switch 2 without connecting online? I have the day 1 20.1.1 update
how would it work with the switch 2 performance upgrades? i thought those were patches you needed to pay for/download?
>>527549336All games receive a performance boost just by virtue of being on better hardware. Games with an uncapped framerate will jump from 30ish FPS to a solid 60 no problem.
Most first-party games launched with a frame cap though, so you need the update to uncap them.
>>527549336This is cool and all, but I doubt anyone's going to risk "bricking" their Switch 2 by using a MIG.
>>527548221NTA but in the case of BotW and TotK, even if you already own the S1 versions, you have to shell out an extra 10 bucks for the privilege of having the 30FPS hardcap raised to 60FPS (ans some other gubbins like the guide thing in the mobile app). If you're just now buying the games, you only get the base game + performance patch, and the DLC you still have to buy separately.
There's also an upcoming patch for Kirby and the Forgotten Land that costs 20 bucks, also improves performance on S2 but at least comes with some new campaign story to play through.
>>527549336There's still a bit of uncertainty about how Nintendo detects the MIG Switch games. Some people might have been able to "add" the games while the console was offline, removed the MIG, and then went online to update the games like they're legit. Now we just have to wait and see if ban reports start popping up, or if that's enough to avoid the banhammer

The Switch 2 performance patches aren't dumped because there's no publicly known way to dump S2 games/updates yet.
>>527558529Yeah, there are carts that come with updates, but those might still not be the most recent updates. And there are very few games that have the DLC included in the carts. Off the top of my head, I know that there's one version of Dead Cells that has all the paid DLC in-cart (but the free DLC is a separate download), and then there's the JP-only releases of BotW and Splatoon 3 that included the DLCs in-cart.
>Really isn't a stretch to think Pokemon S/V will get a reprint with the new updates given the volumes they sell. Those already exist, and there's actually two different versions. There's one that they released around the time of the first DLC drop, that has the first DLC in-cart but the second DLC is a download, and there's a more recent version that includes both DLCs in the cart. But I guess it wouldn't surprise me if they release yet another version with the S2 update included, and it would surprise me even less to see retards triple or even quadruple dipping to get them.
why wouldn't updates work if MIG just simulates sw1 cart? dlc should work too, if u purchased it?
>>527560594ban risk is very high when using mig, and you don't get either of those if banned
>>527560815sounds like a garbage product if its easily detected as not being a 1:1 copy of sw1 cart
>>527560594>>527561081the problem isn't that it isn't detected as a real cart, the problem is that it's detected as the exact same physical cart that everyone else using your cart dump is using. carts are unique. nintendo can see a large number of different consoles using the same cart and bans them.
>>527561081I mean, it does work. But you need to buy and dump the game to make it work "properly" at which point the MIG is redundant.
You can sell the game on but that's where the ban risk comes from.

>>527561308 said. That's why the MIG would be more useful if it had the ability to "install" updates and DLCs itself. That way, you could use those even if your console does end up banned.
The fun thing with GW is you only needed 1 unique cart cert and you could play all your pirated games virtually undetected as Nintendo forgot to check what cert each game used.
>>527561308>>527561245to this date there hasnt been bans of people going online even at the same time using the dumps with the same cert. bans only happen if you have a mismatched cert. i assume nintendo wont do a ban even if they can see all these people connecting with the same cert because doing so would mean also banning the owner of the real cart which is probably some legal area they cant cross into or something
>>527493401Well youtube has killed any chance of it being profitable, whoever was talking about it in the last thread is a ding dong.
Once something gains traction as a good "side hustle", people flock to it.
Dont think for one second the lots of broken consoles havent already been picked over before being resold.
>>527562486back in the sxos days you could play online with certs from other games i think at the time they didnt have checks in place to see if certs matched i used to play a tonne of games online using a cert from some cheap adventure time game i bought and my console is still unbanned to this day
>>527563834>which is probably some legal area they cant cross into or somethingNintendo doesn't give a fuck, remember when they banned a bunch of 3DS consoles for playing pokemon sun/moon online early, including normal people who got physical copies early? If they haven't banned for it yet, it's only because they've been lazy. But now that mig is the only way to pirate on switch 2, I wouldn't be surprised if they tightened that up.
>>527561337Relax and stop thinking about the disintegrating world around you.
>>527564026this doesn't work on mig, swapping certs is an instant ban, even with your own dumps
>>527564207Slightly different situations. In Pokรฉmon's case, they knew that whoever went online with the game before X date wasn't allowed to do so.
>but what about the people that got the game legit but early? They can blame that on the stores breaking street date, I guess. In this case, they're trying to ban pirates but might catch legit players that didn't get the game before release date, so my guess is that they're worried they won't have a way to cover their ass if enough people complain. Especially in the EU, where the outcome is more likely to side with the consumer(s).
>>527565159>They can blame that on the stores breaking street date, I guessDoesn't matter, the customer did nothing wrong. Besides, if nintendo cared about consumer law at all, they wouldn't have designed the switch 2 joysticks to drift just like the switch 1 ones
>>527562486that had nothing to do with GW and had everything to do with nintendo not checking shit, remember when we could download games straight up from their servers? Hell it was still a thing in the very early days of switch 1 too, and on the playstation side you can still do it for psvita and ps3 games to this day
>>527460148No, you can only transfer saves between consoles if both consoles are online and linked to the same nintendo account.
You might be able to move the save to sysnand with homebrew and then transfer from there, but I don't know if you need to have the game installed on sysnand.
Just installed the newest atmo, hekate, and sigpatches, and now my switch won't boot into RCM. It was working just fine before that. I used to just be able to press the power button and it boot into RCM and then I inject the payload. I've even tried booting into recovery mode and it won't. It's not dead because it had a full battery before. Anything I can do?
>>527566129"booting into RCM" means a black screen with the console still looking like it's off, so you're gonna have to elaborate on that. Does it not get detected when you plug it in to your PC? Does injecting the payload give an error?
current gen console hacking is so ded
it was a good run
>>527566384you're a few years late mate
>>527565451>if nintendo cared about consumer law at all, they wouldn't have designed the switch 2 joysticks to drift just like the switch 1 onesThe fact that they already announced joycon replacements for certain countries shows that they do care. The replacements just give them a defence of "oh look, we fucked up again but we're offering replacements haha", while knowing full well that most people will just buy new joycons instead, aka more money in their pocket.
They also care enough to make the European versions of their ToS/Licence Agreement not have the part about agreeing to go through arbitration instead of suing them (because of the class actions they got due to the joycon 1 drift), nor the part about them having the possibility of rendering the consoles unusable if they notice any tampering.
Not to mention, if they really didn't give two shits of a fuck like you're implying, they would have nipped the issue in the bud by doing banwaves related to the MIG months before the S2 was even officially announced, even if it caught legit users in the process.
>>527564454yeah i know i said here
>>527563834 i actually tested on my switch lites when mig came out got them both banned lol and its not instant the ban doesnt appear for 3-5 days
>>527566129if you updated the firmware on sysnand then that removed autorcm, which is what made you boot into rcm without doing anything else. Don't forget you have to do the whole jig business to get into rcm, it's not just power button+volume down or whatever
>>527566362Nah when I plug it into my PC my PC doesn't detect it like it normally would, and tegraRCMGUI doesn't detect it either.
>>527566995I didn't update the firmware at all. I normally do that after installing atmo/hekate/sigpatches.
>>527565451>>527566889 (me)
Also, don't get me wrong, Nintendo doesn't care about consumer law itself, they just care about not getting fucked over by it. That's why they're not going HAM on banning MIG users and whatever legit users would also be affected, IMO.
>>527566994Other than dumping your own games, is there a way to know if a cert is mismatched?
>>527567317so it's just on a black screen, pressing the power button does nothing and your PC doesn't detect it at all?
hold the power button for 20 seconds and try again
if that doesn't work, plug it into the charger and leave it for like a day before trying again
ok so what percentage do i turn the switch 2 off at to put it into deep sleep for years while we wait for a crack
>>52756804260-70% and check on it every 6 months to recharge if needed or just ignore it and get a new battery later on
>>527568042Open the virtual card menu and download a demo or something first. Having a linked account will overcome some troubleshooting later on.
>Prime Remastered and 4 on Switch 1
>2 and 3 nowhere to be found
I didn't plan for this.
>>527569859They'll just lump MP2 on the NSO GC app.
>>527563976Then HOW THE FUCK do I earn money now
>>527572064The advice is always and will always be the same.
You have to find a niche with acceptable competition, or you become a dreaded influencer.
People who find niches, and good ways to make money do not tattle on themselves and blow up their own spot.
In general, if its on youtube, its to sell the hype or hope to someone else for clicks.
If someone is giving you a tutorial, they expect to make money on the tutorial not the actual "hustle". There isnt enough room for everyone.
The only reliable place to get a large amount of dead consoles is ebay.
How is it in their favor to tell a ton of "grindset side hustlin" tik tok zoomers to go jack the prices of dead consoles up?
They are cannibalizing their own margins, because the videos will pay more over time than the consoles will.
>>527572064There's this cool thing called a "job", you should try getting one.
>>527574657THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING BUT NO ONE WILL HIRE ME
>>527572064Scalpers wouldnt exist if it didnt pay
If I hack my Switch, would it be possible to turn my CEMU botw save into a switch save and transfer it to a Switch 2?
>>527575787Dunno why you would do that, but yes.
>>527575983Long story, but I need it for someone else. Does this chain for doing it make sense?
Convert CEMU save to Ryujinx/Yuzu save > Hack Switch > Get (checkpoint??) > Transfer Switch one saves to Switch 2.
I imagine that there won't be any consequences to moving this save to a Switch 2, assuming the save doesn't have any modded stuff in it. Anything in particular I would need to watch for?
>>527577323You're gonna have to run homebrew on sysnand, so just make sure you don't install any NSPs or anything like that to avoid getting banned. Simply using a save manager to import the save for a singleplayer game should be fine.
>>527577323Do you already have the game on your switch?
Otherwise there's nowhere to restore the save to.
>>527578109Yeah, I got the physical game. Does it just replace the saves on the console?
>>527578547Yeah pretty much
How do I find out which mods for Sonic games run on Switch?
>>527574698disguise yourself as attractive woman and onlyfans

I am hacked on sysnand, my SD card is full. Its in exfat.
I want to upgrade to another SD card and run fat32, and not lose all my installed games.
Whats the best way to do it?
>>527598343I'm in a good mood today so here you go
https://switch.hacks.guide/extras/transfer_sd.html
next time read the guide in the OP you clicked on
>>527598343Get one of those USB SD card readers with two slots. Format the new card to Fat32. Literally drag and drop everything from the old one to the new one.
t. had to do this because exFat and RetroArch don't play well at all.
Leak Raidou in the next 5 hours.... or else....
On the MiG banning discussion I saw some people on GBATemp saying that even if you only play MiG games offline with your console in airplane mode, the console still logs all that activity and sends it to Nintendo whenever you do eventually go online so you'll still get banned, is that true? They were saying even a factory reset doesn't help
>>527607721>even if you only play MiG games offline with your console in airplane mode, the console still logs all that activity and sends it to Nintendo whenever you do eventually go onlineOf course it's true, this has been since like, the first year of switch hacking. Factory reset may help, but it's hard to know for sure since the people who actually know are all troons who suck nintendo cock and refuse to share info.
>>527569859just play the gamecube version or the wii version or primehack, retard
>>527567432i dont know of a way to tell
>>527608376we do know though, factory reset doesn't help and only restoring a nand backup does. Anon are you lying on the internet again??
I have that Switch 2 Gamecube controller I was wanting to use with dolphin, but it appears jewtendo DRM'd their fucking controller now. I have about two weeks left to return it and was wondering what the realistic turn around time might be for someone making it work for PC? I know darthcloud is doing something, but his updates on github are random.
>>527622891>but it appears jewtendo DRM'd their fucking controller now.>nowno console controller that isn't an xbox controller ever worked on pc, unless you run another program first. Hook it up via steam input and see if that changes
>>527623157It matter that nintendo is doing it because all the other classic controller don't have this retarded DRM issue. I plugged my N64 Switch controller into my PC and was able to play the recompiled Majora's Mask with zero issues. This is just nintendo being faggots about people using the controller for something besides their crappy online service and shitty tablet.
i guess it's too late now for those that cared enough to buy it right away but bravely default hd on switch 2 is doing the same thing they did on 3DS, the global version is censored while the jap version is uncensored while also having other languages (like english, idk if the other eu ones are there too)
>>527567728Tried this and nothing. It really seems like it's bricked. Should I try for a NAND backup, even though it won't even turn on?
>>527636958have you actually held the power button down for 20-30 seconds? Do it again
also, easiest thing to troubleshoot is the sd card: what's actually on it? Are you sure you updated EVERYTHING (sysmodules/homebrews included) that needed updating? In any case, check the guide in op and do a clean install
>>527631639Still so fucking retarded that they didn't port it to switch 1. Squeenix really is just as bad as Nintendo.
>>527622891There's some workaround for the new Pro Controller, I haven't tried that but maybe it works for the GameCube controller.
>>527623157I had a PS4 controller work on my PC for years and a XC2 Switch controller work with zero issues outside of the bitch ass USB Cable disconnecting every few seconds.
Once I replaced the Nintendo brand USB Cable with my Cell Phone one it worked with zero issues.
They're just being filthy kikes this time around, more than usual.
>>527644621i also had (still have, but it drifts like crazy now so i don't use it anymore) PS4 controller and could never use it without either DS4windows or steam input, or both at the same time
Say I use a full copy of a game with a migswitch and only play offline.
What happens when the console goes online later?
Will ninty check the play log and look if another console played at the same time, or do they only care if the certificates were ok and no 2 certs were online at the same time?
>>527652217>What happens when the console goes online later?banned after telemetry is submitted
>Will ninty check the play log and look if another console played at the same time, or do they only care if the certificates were ok and no 2 certs were online at the same time? Both consoles get banned.
example use of mig switch:
go gamestop, go home, dump game, put on mig switch, return to gamestop.
other user buys from gamestop, both play and use the same copy, both get banned.
>>527657191ya, but only when 2 copies go online at the same time, right?
Like how is ninty going to verify they were played at the same time? I can change my datetime to anything.
if ninty would actually ban you that way, they'd have a lot of issues on their hand since anyone with a legit copy, even if the game was never cloned, could still end up with a banned switch if the original owner or the new owner had their clock set wrong.
>>527559758>The normal DLC for BotW (the Expansion Pass with the Master Trials and Champions' Ballad) is the normal S1 DLC that's been around for ages.wait so BOTW DLC raised the FPS cap?
>>527658169Nta but if it's something like single player or even adhoc then it get's messy since like you said the user could set whatever time they want on the consoles. Definitely could see lil bro grabbing your pokemon cart but his time was off by an hour (wrong dst) and the log said it was played on two consoles at the 'same time'. But for online it might ping the nintendo server for a centralized timestamp so there's zero ambiguity. Or maybe it's like a motherboard where the bios clock runs off cmos and the os runs off whatever you set it as.
Plus people were posting about the mig dumping trimmed carts last thread.
Best practise is use mig only on switch 1 or use it on a switch 2 updated to day1 patch with all the dlc and free updates grabbed for the game. Then dns block or airplane until it's hackable and lets you wipe the log.
>>527661464No. FPS is only raised in the switch 2 version. You get it by having the OG game and buying the $10 upgrade, or buy buying the $70 switch 2 edition instead of the regular $60 switch 1 edition. If you buy them this way, you still need the DLC, which is an extra 20 bucks, no matter which edition you have, and the DLC does nothing to improve performance.
>>527631639I've been interested in that game for a while, what did they censor?
>>527663943some outfits show less skin and the main characters have been aged up from 16 to 18, iirc
MIGs are already getting Switch 2 consoles banned, even with a 1:1 legit rip.
RIP indeed
>>527673145https://x.com/SwitchTools/status/1934637497985769875
However, his 2nd console using the same account and game cart is fine, so it's just a console ban and they seemingly can tell the MIG from real carts.
