The only thing world has over rise and wilds is that the multiplayer with randoms is straight forward. Rise SOS system is bad and four player rooms may be better for co op but they aren't as good for random. Wilds feels like it overcomplicated a lot of things regarding multiplayer and the 100 people rooms are a bit too much. Wilds also lacks the hunters room as whole and the custom camps arent the same. You're charging too long. There's a timing sweetspot that happens right as sounds and effects intensify. Not only do you waste precious time overcharging, you'll also do (iirc) 20% less damage than if you release on the right timing.
You should also really try to aim for weak spots. A lot of the time you could be repositioning to go for head hits but instead hit stuff like the legs or tail that does negative damage
You're struggling a lot with proper tackle usage but that's fine because you barely know the monsters yet, if at all. Every monster has very clear tells or predictive behavior that will take you tens of hours of hunting that particular monster before you can read them perfectly, and greatsword happens to be a weapon that's a bit dependent on knowing the moveset well, due to its long commitment attacks

Pretty sure frontier and most other online monster hunter games don't need to do that? Like if you compare how Dauntless felt to playing online in any monhun game, MHO felt closer to Dauntless. If I'm remembering everything right, there was always noticeable lag between hitting something and the hit actually connecting whereas in monhun games if you hit something on your screen it always feels fine and registers right away because it's handled client-side and then transmits that info to everyone else while at the same time you're constantly receiving updates from everyone else's clients about the position/status/etc of other players/monsters too.

Regular monster hunter doesnt use a server. It's all client sided this is why someone can show up with a trainer and oneshot a monster. I think the best thing about pre-slop monster hunter games is how none of the characters have names and are simply referred to by their professional titles because they knew that their playerbase couldn't care less about any of these people unless they had some utility to offer the player. World does more with its story monsters than Wilds. Even with the latter's heavy ecology work, World does much more integrating this into the story. Too much village shit takes away from the monster fights monster or monsters being a threat to our expedition team.
