Basically, when you select all, you start looking for a party in any boss. Then, if you get matched and it becomes 2/3 you're locked to the boss that the other person is queueing for and you're stuck to his queue, and he could be queueing for just 1 boss that is unpopular - that's why sometimes you get stuck on 2/3. Just reset when that happens.

I love bosses which are easy except that they are constantly flying across the whole fucking map and 90% of the fight is downtime chasing them around so yes Caligo is my favourite boss, so much fun.

Running to that ruin that isnt even near anywhere else we can kill to get xp is just too fucking stupid. yes i stayed and killed 4 more crucibles on my own and they still only got to lvl 12 by day 3 despite them doing the ruin boss then fighting low lvl mobs until the rain came.
