the problem however is that was compared to an open element air cleaner like from the 1960s,
it was an improvement to route the intake out of the engine bay usually THROUGH the fender aprons.
all modern cars have a fucking airbox which more or less does that from the factory so it's not really gaining fuck all in new cars and you're just clowning and pissing off money.
this was an improvement done on sports cars in the 1970s to put tubing and ducting but now it means nothing, you gain nothing and you look like a fag, but what's worse is when shitfaces route these and it's pulling hot air from the engine compartment and it's basically spending money to look like a fag but also make 1960s horsepower loss.
