You get a (much faster) instant sprint button instead of the near useless crouch. That alone is an unbelievable difference. On top of that you can kick off walls and some enemies every jump and pull yourself over ledges. Each of the characters have abilties that completely change how you play in ways that no mod in ER has an equivalent to yet and all the Legendary weapons that were just Ash sticks in Elden Ring have special power attacks Golden Order Greatsword is the biggest difference to me, it's R2 is now rejection every swing that also clears debuffs for allies in the vicinity.

It is a very completely different game altogether with birb. You gotta play slow and steady and manage your stamina really well. If you run into a merchant, always buy the smithing stone and upgrade your starter shield if you do not have a blue one by the first night. Also, despite halberds being weak, they have the strongest guard counter purely because of the fact that you can dash inwards by charging it, making your guard counters actually have a very high consistent hit rate. Damage shouldn't be your main goal, your purpose is to soak up aggro and constantly apply stance damage through guard counters and shield pokes.
Pro tip: Shield pokes nullify the knockback on most hits. Extremely useful since you can dodge out of it much faster than getting block stunned by a lot of boss patterns.

Expressive?
Executor is kinda. I'm basing this on how there's two main playstyles of executor you'll see. There's players who don't interact with his ability to deflect at all because his roll is still good and you have your more powerful weapons out at all time, and those who do interact with it and know how to use unsheathe and sheathing deflects. Therefore, I'd say he's expressive but the floor is pretty low to actually succeed with the character. I think the first RL1 run in the game played like the former.
Guardian isn't expressive, but you do need skill and game knowledge to make him work. And his relics, his relics change him more than any other character. Every Guardian that is good at the character will play pretty similarly.

It's the right type but everyone has to be applying it. Uncharged incants don't do much buildup at all. Honed bolt is still probably going to hit him more than lightning spear but it probably won't do enough build up on its own. I routinely hose that guy with lightning spears for 600 a pop and it's usually not enough to proc lightning debuff just gives me aggro.

What are some relic stats for fun co-op play?
My friends always love when I bring a key by default, are there any other effects that make people go "oh yes he brought this thing"?
