What do you actually need for your units to complete drill 40? Is it damage output and min-maxing attachments/gold weapons? For some reason I can complete the 18 version but 40 is just a bit too hard.

Last drill 40 I used my default refitting room settings which is every doll having their own common and affection key. Most of the limited dolls I use are V1 except for Daiyan who is V3. My attachments aren't min/maxed but I do have 4/4 and 3/3s on my Daiyan and Tololo. No chips just basic calibrations with mostly average rolls.

This clear in particular I used the formation system to give my dolls the best keys I have available but you don't always need to do that. Mainly you need some synergy or strategy going on with your team and you need to do the mechanics correctly. The team in the post I quoted has decent synergy despite not being a mono-element team and they were able to perform the mechanics of the fight really well.

Or you can have V6 Klukai and get a free clear on 40 without trying like a metafaggot without tactical nor strategic expertise unlike me.

After doing 40 two drills in a row I realized that CE chasing is silly and not all dolls actually need to pursue ATK, ATKD, CRT, and CRTD. It's perfectly fine to forgo crit on non-damage dealing supportive dolls.

For example, I have a full set of ATK & CRT attachments on Sabrina as an accident from farming attachments for Tororo. Never bothered getting ATK/DEF instead since nothing ever hits hard enough to kill her anyway and the extra damage does actually make a difference in killing normal mobs. On Frenzy 40 when everything is gigabuffed though the extra damage really does nothing. Her kit has no crit enhancers and enemies hit hard enough to kill so you may as well leave the crit stuff for your actual damage dealers. I am thinking I will take the crit attachments off of Centaureissi too, who also has no crit enhancers in her kit and give her ATK + HP/DEF instead. Same for my Colphne, who also doesn't have crit enhancers.

I think when extreme PVAs come out these kind of things will be more important.
