Springtrap feels like total ass to play, he consistently loses games and his average bp gain is even worse.

Being a 110% killer with a limited range projectile makes it superhard to properly set yourself up for any axe throws without any survivor already making it to the next wall to counter your power. It simply takes too long to pull out the axe while also slowing yourself down.

The security doors are just worse Sadako tvs since survivors can technically use them aswell to traverse the map. Any half-competent survivors will be long gone before you could ever hope to ambush them from a door. The last they should do is give Springtrap a speedboost after exiting a security door.

I think the most urgent change he requires is turning him into a 115% killer without being slowed down by his axe. Without that thing he's just another m1 killer without a power, it's quite pathetic really. So at least enable him to properly use that damn thing without crippling his mobility.

Kill rates are going to legit plummet with the inability to kill yourself. I'm already escaping so much more as survivor when my teammates are forced to actually play. Also enjoying slugging the people actively throwing and trying to die and making them eat the dc penalty cause they weren't able to kill themselves on their first hook. I did have one game where two people dc'd on the first hit of the match and I had to play that shit out while the killer specifically targeted the bots and then slugged for the 4k because he needed the only real players to stick around and witness how GOOD he is though.

It's just something you have to learn, most of the maps are fucking ass and I have 3k hours and on a map like lerys I barely know where the fuck I am. They recently removed a lot of map variations so they will be more consistent. If you play Ormond the shack will be in a specific spot every time, Badham will always look the same. Generally I'm judging mine and survivors positions relative to gens more so than landmarks, and if you are patrolling the gens you'll figure out what landmarks they're next to. You will get a general sense of where you are in most maps over time though. Sadako is a killer that's not map dependent but she kind of requires you to be good at predicting survivor behavior. Springtrap is pretty good regardless of map honestly.

I refuse to believe that a 1,000 person company can only release 5 skins a month. I played Skyrim for a decade and have seen single modders release high quality 4k outfits with physics enabled every few weeks just by themselves, for free, and as a hobby in their spare time. If you were to pay these guys and have them work full time, you would easily see a new outfit a week, if not more.
If BHVR would even have 50% of that productivity with 20 people just making skins, every character in the game could get a new skin every month.

If a killer has no map traversal and no (significant) secondary objective, they are forced to slug in order to force it so that they're not perpetually in a chase with one person while 1 to 3 gens are being worked on based on whether their recent hook has been rescued yet. If the survivors know what they're doing, gens fly out of control against such killers.

I have come to conclusion that survivors are disconnecting me from the game when I am winning. When I'm playing survivor I never deal with connection issues. When I'm playing killer I will occasionally get disconnected when I am playing well.

I don't know what the base gen damage stat should be. If they want it to be more of a ramp up they could increase the multiplier for each torture point and start it out pretty low. The stat could also be killer dependent, similar to terror radius or move speed, and could be a simple number tweak that could be the first buff or nerf they do to a killer upon community outcry that would make a significant impact without having to rework their whole power, or an interim tweak between more significant reworks.

I think the holy trinity of strong killer identities are these three elements:
-Strong and consistent map traversal (Kaneki, Billy, etc)
-Significant secondary objective (Pinhead alone)
-Chase power that, against a survivor who is maximally good at playing against this killer, still does not have equal counterplayer; ie fast downs (Nurse, Blight)

If a killer has one of these elements they are probably A tier, possibly B tier. If a killer has any two of these elements in combination, they are S tier.

I have tried the compromise build for several games
Its unspeakable garbage for a ton of reasons that will list.

1) most gens are being done at the same time, compromising one gen means the others will likely get done before it unless you can backtrack quickly.
2) Not only are you wasting time kicking gens, you are wasting time kicking a gen you're not actually planning on patrolling
3) A compromise build means less 0-1 slowdown which is awful opportunity cost, especially when you waste more time than normal doing it
4)Help wanted is ass. Why run a compromise perk for max STBFL a perk that only helps if you won the chase, when coup helps you win chases in the first place on ANY gen completed.

One was a stealth build, by way of iron will and pebble. The other was more rounded though. I was still doing gens, finished two on one game and three on the other. rescuing from hooks and healing and... yeah they were pretty standard games.

One game I was cleansing a thrill totem after getting interrupted once and the other was just kind of random. We were three genned pretty bad, like two right next to each other and one just above them and the killer wasn't taking chases, just perpetually driving us off. It didn't feel long and we weren't hiding we just couldn't do much. We were even still tapping the gens as much as we could and were even in the terror radius but sure enough eventually: Birb. For both me and another survivor.

The other survivors even stopped and just kind of looked on perplexed when it happened and we were all pretty flabbergasted by it in the post game chat.

Try to make good value judgements when chasing. All survivors can do against killer is waste their time. It's fine to drop chase and go kick a gen if someone is trying to keep you in a very safe area and are better than you at looping. Though obviously you can't just kick gens so you need to judge when to commit to a chase especially when there's multiple survivors you can see you need to pick one.

The audio glitch has scared survivors away from the doors and I'm not sure if they'll start using them even after it's been fixed since they've been conditioned from the start to just ignore them.

I think the biggest problem with the new afk system is so much only SLOWS how long it takes you to get birds instead of reversing it, while the too few options that do reverse it don't reverse it very quickly.

You're playing the game but instead of being rewarded or just left alone, you're being Punished for not doing it the "right way" and at the right pace. There's more than the one viable way to play the game, certainly a lot more than the one way bhvr is constantly trying to herd their player into playing.

Worse yet the system would actually be fine if it just wasn't so strict with the timing and stingy about what counts as "Productive" in their eyes.

What's the point of having killers being 4.4 now that most of the newer ones are much more lethal and have normal 4.6 speed

Finally someone else gets it. I rarely ever get the crows but when I do it's genuinely annoying, it feels like the game is giving you a slap on the wrist for playing solo queue. Need to look for your teammate to reset with them? That's gonna be a crow. Resetting with your team and scouting out what gens to do while trying to point the sable to the far gen so you don't double up in the 3 gen? That's gonna be a crow. the core gameplay is about chases. horror-themed freeze tag.
survivors use windows and pallets to stall the killer in chases and buy time to complete gens, while killers try to cut through pallets efficiently and pressure survivors into making mistakes.
looping is the general term used to refer to holding chase as a survivor.
a loop (also known as a tile) is a structure that contains a pallet and/or a window.
junk loops (filler tiles) are ones where the survivor never loses line of sight of the killer.
jungle gyms (maze tiles) are structures that have a mix of high walls, windows, and/or a pallet.
junk loops are relatively weak and the basic killer strategy is to get the pallet down ASAP then either break it on the side that forces the survivor towards the edge of the map/away from other loops, or play the pallet if you think you can get the survivor to fuck up and give you a hit.
jungle gyms are usually strong and the strategy is more complicated to describe, since the survivor loses line of sight of the killer at various points. the basic killer strategy is to play with the breaks in line of sight to force the survivor to guess what you're doing. this is referred to as "mind gaming" and there's a lot you can do with it.

for killer, clown, plague and artist are good for their slowdown perks.
for survivor, feng and kate are good pickups for lithe and windows of opportunity, both perks that help with surviving chases.
besides that, the answer to "what killer/survivor should i get" comes down to who looks cool/fun to you or whose perks look fun. it's gonna be a long time before tier matters.
other than that find a streamer/YT guy that you like who's good at the game and consoom. i like hens despite him being g*rman

Can't thank you enough anon. Whatever it's done, my game ran around 60c which is an enormous drop, and I can't even notice a difference. Maybe the draw distance was a bit smaller but I don't even think so I was just looking for something that's different.

So, some notes I have about Springtrap:

- Bonnie's Guitar Strings are extremely good, you can get some huge mileage in the macro just by sitting in a door and waiting for survivors to go work on a gen and then teleport right to them. If you kill a survivor you basically win with this addon
- Dead Man's Switch is really good with Springtrap and especially with the Guitar Strings. Limits how many gens they can work on at any given time so you can focus your pressure on specific gens without having to worry about all of them
- Speaking of sitting in doors, I don't know how it looks visually (I assume the door stays open but Springtrap is gone?) but I've been able to get some mileage out of chasing a survivor off a gen to get rid of an easy pallet, sprint burst maybe an axe hit what have you, going back to the door, sitting in there to listen, and then popping right back out and ambushing the survivor. Nobody seems to expect you to do this, and some perks (Dragon's Fury) work in your favor doing this
- Still mixed on whether or not you should have your axe with you or not when you pop out a door. Sometimes you can easily land the hit with the axe and start the chase strong, sometimes its better to have the speed to start the chase strong and just summon the axe if you need it.
- The grab part of the power is basically a non-factor unless they move it off the basic attack button. Nice to get it, but I never expect it to work.
- Axe's weight felt like shit at the start, but after getting used to it I might like it more than Huntress's, since it can hit over some loops Huntress can't due to the drop.
- Committing to longer chases is le bad, break a pallet or get a hit, go back to your door and come back in a bit and force the survivor to play around the depleted resources. This goes for a lot of killers but Springtrap especially

Overall, he felt like shit getting started with him, but the more I learned to rely on doors the better he began to feel.

For me the only fun thing about Springtrap is his orbital Axe throws but those are mostly down to luck, guess I'll go back to troonown

The axe is good but not great, and the slowdown with the axe can suck really a lot in some loops. I just try to focus on gen defense and don't go too far out of my way to chase if its inconvenient, I'll go back to my door and pick a new target. Eventually, you'll find that shit player who gives you an edge to begin wearing them down or they'll run dry on resources and the downs will start flowing. I absolutely understand your position though, the first night I played Springtrap was horrible until I reoriented my priorities. PTB Springtrap was more chase-focused I feel, but since they nerfed all the addons used for that super defensive Springtrap seems to be the way to play him now.

That's some of the most valuable information in the game.It also informs you where a slug is picked up. After a reset is also the perfect time for someone to be oblivious because they often reset before having to go to an objective you can guard. If there are multiple injured people and one triggers deathbound on the other it also means you can interrupt the next heal you would otherwise have no chance of finding, like a mapwide nurses, especially good if you have mobility.
