If you're talking about the images they unlock as you see them, so yes you have to 100% the game to have a complete gallery.
>>528066385You probably end turns too early. Just aim for big invaders to replenish your AP until you have enough voltage to launch a big attack. The big attack should also give you at least 2 APs. If you press end turn more than 3 times in a single wave you're not doing it right. Pretend the point of the game is to never press "end turn" unless you've cleared the map.
Don't forget to unlock and use the desperation potions when you need some voltage fast.
For units to use, cheesing Eito is fine, that's what I did too. But you also have the option of using agility potions, spring traps, and Nozomi to cure anyone's fatigue and move again. Apparently Tsubasa also becomes usable if you max her out and give her attack potions but I never bothered.

Okay after a few weeks I finally finished the game. Basically I went all the routes and the only one I skipped was Comedy and Battle(?). I actually understood the assignment and put the SF route for last which I finished an hour ago.
I honestly think I did not like that route. Just because I really hoped that it was in the vein of the Last Defense Academy 2nd Scenario route. It felt too hamfisted? It lacked tons of things that the characters could have fixed in a way. Also introducing the old man and the "woman in her 50s" were too out of nowhere. Especially the latter considering it wasn't revisted anymore and was just said "yeah they are there".
For me the SF route should have combined conspiracy, 2nd scenario, and rebellion for maximum effect. Basically in the end, I really felt that the actual true ending, if there is one, was 2nd scenario. Even though I'm not found of Nozomi. Doesn't help that the best ending song was also put there again.
I dunno. Either I just didn't understand that much, or they made too much of a big deal of that route.

The prologue and 2nd Scenario were written by Kodaka. It was written to be one coherent, complete story.
SF was written by Uchikoshi. He didn't really make much of an attempt to integrate it with either the prologue or 2nd Scenario (apparently he wrote it without having even read 2nd Scenario?). He basically just did whatever he wanted and made up his own version of the story. That's why it feels so disjointed.
Outside of SF's insistence on its own importance, all other signs point to 2nd Scenario being the true ending and SF being just another what-if route.

Even in the routes he didn't write, he gave them a guideline and told them what to do to make this game have a semblance of coherence.
I'd argue that S.F. and it's pre required locks feel much more connected and meaningful as a story from start to end than whatever Kodaka wrote with 1st & 2nd scenario, but each to their own. Lying to prove your argument isn't a good look, though.

We play from Takumi's POV anyway, it makes sense we never know what made Hiruko like this. Maybe in the HL DLC...
My personal thoughts are that, after a certain amount of timeloops, Takumi became the only constant in a cast of variables. Even if he doesn't remember everything, he remembers enough and she feels closer to him as a result even if she doesn't bother him in most routes due to him being a slut busy with something and someone else.
I think it's also because Takumi is very cute to her and triggers her entire sadistic dominant personality, alongside being a nice person that makes her feel comfortable. Token Visual Novel Main Character charm, too.

I wish the game had leaned more into the whole “story locks”, “all routes are interconnected” idea. Imagine full on Danganronpa-style murder mysteries that span 3+ routes and take dozens of hours for you to even gather all the evidence.
