shadowverse has always designed like this, 'aggro' decks tend to have weaker early tempo, in exchange for that damage being more threatening due to an earlier burst wincon (like roach or centaur)
control decks have stronger early game, but even if they hit you its not as threatening because they cant burst you until later
allowing orchis to work without any other puppets is why artifact has an on par finisher along with strong late and early

Your super evolved stuff cannot die during your turn, so you can basically cheat with your spells that ask you to destroy one of your own followers as a downside to an otherwise undercosted effect. I don't remember the card names right now since I don't really play abyss, but there's a 1PP "Destroy one enemy follower and one friendly follower". That's basically "1 PP: destroy one enemy follower" when you have a super evolved card on the field.

Winged Statue is the best amulet by far, but it is for a more aggressive storm haven and not this control pile, control doesn't want it. However, control just doesn't work very well, it can't handle Orchis.
The most successful Haven decks look similar to this. You need Winged Statue to win the game, you combo it with Olivia and/or Jeanne.

The point of the card is that it provides increased synergy with things like Mainyu, Skullfam, and Jeanne while letting you either chip the opponent down for eventual lethal. The tiger serves a different purpose and is basically removal. Rodeo is ACTUALLY bad because it doesn't provide enough value for the cost and by that point you can instead just set up for Jeanne/Griffon/Skullfane turns.

At that point of the game, the tiger is probably the worst amulet, so you are really only looking for the deal 4 and bigbirb and that's not too exciting. Worse, he messes up turn 8 Jeanne because if you play him on 7, you are guaranteed to have nothing to buff with Jean on turn 8. If you are control Haven, Maeve is arguably better since she gives you the boardwipe amulet back.

He does have a lot of futureproofing since he gets better when <5 cost amulets get better.

He is very good. The primary wincon is to setup huge Jeanne turns and he is another way to do that. He can be safely played at any point to clear a huge super evo and then you can buff him until you think it's time to pop off. Frequently you do stuff like T6 Statue, T7 Ronavero as setup for Jeanne. Technically he can also combo with Olivia, but I'm generally afraid of dropping him and not evoing immediately because of the fear of 3 damage aoe. Also if you Olivia evo him you don't get the pop.

This is what I'm currently running, although I don't think that my decklist is optimal. My choice of legos is because it's what I own, and I'm not 100% certain of my card choices below PP6. I do feel like you probably want to boardwipe max with Apollo, Calamity, Burnite, and Twilight. Try to stick a board with Gary after the opponent starts running out of steam. I would like to experiment with running different numbers of burnites, or running forte. But I don't have them and don't want to craft them in this economy. Super-evoing Burnite isn't worth it in a vacuum, but sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do. I'm also not sure if it's wroth super evoing Twilight in a vacuum. The card draw is nice but I feel like you kind of want to save the evo point for later power plays.

"Win Ranked Matches" in a daily quest is going to cause me to put the game down.

Its hard to get a single win in normal matches with my half assed deck so I have to spam practice matches against the beginner AI until I'm done winning 5 matches. It took me 3 fucking hours to complete the park quest in a normal match, and I'm already playing another gacha (Wuthering Waves) in which the dailies take 5 minutes at max to complete. Also working at a full time job. Nobody cannot be arsed to play that long only for the dailies just to get %80 of a card pack. I'm swapping missions everytime I see ranked pop up in the dailies from now on.

It should be "Play ranked matches" not win. Seriously what kind of weed have they been smoking while developing this because I definitely want some. Just copy what Master Duel does well and you already have the best CCG in the market, what's so hard to understand? The greed and the archaism of the Japanese game developers/companies know no limits.

She's a mandatory inclusion because she's our alternate ramp source when she Evos, but I feel like we're bricking if we don't draw dragonsign and need to depend on her evoing as our first ramp. What's my gameplan in this match up?

Its hard to get a single win in normal matches with my half assed deck so I have to spam practice matches against the beginner AI until I'm done winning 5 matches. It took me 3 fucking hours to complete the park quest in a normal match, and I'm already playing another gacha (Wuthering Waves) in which the dailies take 5 minutes at max to complete. Also working at a full time job. Nobody cannot be arsed to play that long only for the dailies just to get %80 of a card pack. I'm swapping missions everytime I see ranked pop up in the dailies from now on.

It should be "Play ranked matches" not win. Seriously what kind of weed have they been smoking while developing this because I definitely want some. Just copy what Master Duel does well and you already have the best CCG in the market, what's so hard to understand? The greed and the archaism of the Japanese game developers/companies know no limits.

F2P are the ones who need the reward most so they'll be the ones mass playing it for said rewards.

Which means the F2P that actually HAVE been playing ranked and stomaching the pain of having to fight nonstop whales will now allow them to have a break rom the torture and face off against people in their budget range massively improving their quality of life.
