Fossil Fusion banishes.
Block Dragon also banishes.
So they can potentially compete and sabotage each other.
Unless of course you can find a way to send Block Dragon to the GY and do something REALLY WORTHWHILE with the 3 searched monsters.
You use Block Dragon because of that search effect is not once per turn. If you can't abuse Block Dragon by looping with it, don't bother with it.

I think it's a pretty balanced card considering the bullshit that's in the game nowadays.

I think Tenpai is a pretty balanced and healthy deck for the game.
It's undeniable that the player going first has an outrageously higher win-rate than the player going second.
It can said that many games can be won simply not by virtue of skill, but by sheer luck of winning the coinflip.

First off:
The guides in the OP are a little outdated, but the part about bundles and structure decks can't go wrong.
As >>528936567 said, avoid spending gems and crafting points (dust) before you have a good understanding of the game.
If you're a new player, you can get a free Deck thanks to a campaign for new and returning players.
But that deck is a trap, it's fine to use it as it is, but don't invest into it unless you really like those dragons because the complete competitive version of the deck is very expensive.
I actually recommend you to get one of the more recent structure decks in the shop if you want to learn the game and have something that's actually usable.
In my opinion, 3x of the Resonators/RDA structure deck should be good enough to learn how to play properly.
(At least it is much better than Mirrorjade pass)

The red dragon archfiend structure deck is garbage though.
What will you do without either centurion or bystials?
I'd say heroes are better.

I think pendulum summoning shouldn't have existed.
The idea of monsters that are also spell cards is very good though.
It would be fine if instead of a new summoning method they just introduced pendulum monsters as a new card type.
Pendulum monsters would be perfect if they removed the pendulum scales and removed the extra deck interactions, making them always go to the GY.
Then they could make cards with much better pendulum effects since the summoning mechanic wouldn't exist.
Later on the anime they could even introduce pendulum traps, monsters that you can set in your spell/trap card zone as trap cards.

Why am I seeing meta decks in bronze and silver?

Master Duel is so fucking shit compared to other games I can't even instantly export the resources I have in my Gift Box for easier accounting.
I had to fucking write down the date, time and amount of geams for each single one of my 7319 gemmies there.

you get 1015 gems per week from dailies (including logging in and opening than instantly closing a duel live replay)
that's about 4350 gems a month just from dailies
every month there's a 3100 gem event, bringing you up to 7500 gems per month
then if you're staying at/below plat on ladder you can rank up for free up to p5 for another guaranteed 600 gems, bringing the total to 8100

basically you'll earn 8100 gems a month granted you finish the event fully and climb from g5 to p5 or whatever rank you demoted to up to the next tier 5 rank
you'll get a bit more from post-duel rewards and if you climb higher/from lower
higher ranks get more gems for rank-ups but come with the caveat of being able to get demoted and also have more metachinks and whatnot

Those past few months I've been gradually demoting myself in the ranks by only going until tier 1 of a rank at most at the end of a season.
April? Platinum 1 so I would be demoted to Gold 5 in May.
Last month? Gold 1 so I would be demoted to Silver 5 in June.
This month? I'm still on Silver 3 (plan was to say in Silver 5 but lots of player surrendered despite always playing suicide decks tailored for my dailies), but the plan is to easily rush to Silver 1 on the last day so I will be demoted to Bronze 5 in July.

It's Vaalmonica being bad itself, most pendulum decks have their one or two card combos letting them with a decent half-board and an immediate follow-up.
Vaal can't even do basic pendulum soup techs since their best starter/keycard is a non-pendulum monster, and they can't do much with their GY because pendulum. The deck forces you to use the engine with its main gimmick but the entire engine itself is mid turn 1 and completely unplayable turn 2. Picrel's hilarious first effect just sums up what's wrong with this archetype.
I really like the deck but the thing is more cursed than Argostars it's crazy.

Traps are bad in general because they are too slow to be reliable. They will let you down if drawn going second into an opponent's board, and if going first then you don't need a random trap if you resolve your deck's gameplan. Unless your deck is fully focused around trap synergy you don't want to be running traps unless you can search them, because then you're able to run 1 copy of the trap and minimize risk of wasting a draw on the trap while being able to get it from your deck through a search when you need it.

Vaalmonica is no exception to this general rule. You can search one trap easily, and so you want to run the best trap which is Followed Rhythm because it has the best effect. You could run 2 since sometimes you can search a second one, but if you're in that position then you really don't need the second trap since you're already in a winning position.
Ereditare would be good, but Zebufera specifically copies the effects NORMAL spells/traps and Ereditare is a counter trap.
Chosen Melody's not bad, but it's not as good as a non-targeting double removal on Rhythm.
Creation is just bad in general. If you wanted to play a brick that's only good for discarding with your scales, then you'd be running Rainbow Bridge of Salvation. And aside from that, if you get your 2 card combo going, then you don't need the discard effect anyway because it's easy to get the 3 counters you need on your scales.

I spent somewhere around 50k-60k gems on the sky striker pack and i managed to get 3 raye, 3 engage, 3 shizuku, 3 hayate and 1 kagari alts, however i had incredibly shit luck during the entire time the pack was on the shop, i got 1 UR per pull, then zero, then 2, then 1, repeat. You can increase the engine to try getting Maxx C attached to your XYZ then adding it from there to hand but its inconsistent. Doesn't really require bricks though all the monsters are free lvl 3 summons from hand and the spell is basically pot of prosp so they're rarely dead if you draw them.
