the end of the book (a /lit/fag can correct me if I am wrong, it's been a while since I've read it) is about him reflecting on his life, having an epiphany and him embracing how meaningless life is with a smile and peacefully. the priest is basically carmen, who comes at his lowest point to offer religious comfort. mersault gets pissed off at what he thinks is hypocrisy, reject him, gets his epiphany and then he accepts his execution with open arms, which would basically be his EGO in the PMverse.

applies some of the most burn in the entire game just on the merits of being an ammo unit
He does eat up 3 count on skill 3 though but he converts it to more raw damage than other count negative burn IDs so he's still better in that regard
He also has built in attack weight though you'll rarely get to use it in glimpse runs
Definitely consider him for MD burn especially if you have capote (Great ego gift synergy)

If you're actually running a proper burn team in MD, he's not necessary desu, his S1 also applies less due to only one coin doing it, while other pure burn units can do it twice on their S1, which is better for glimpse and chicken leg.
He's fantastic for boss fights outside of MD in a hybrid team, but otherwise, you're better off just sticking to the usual. Especially since his S3 is a little long animation wise, so if you're quick farming there's that to consider too.

Like I said, none of this is going to make his S3 deal any more damage. But anyways, only his S3 does superposition. His EGO will just reset it to reverb. And you need 10 tremor count for the S3 to do superposition, which is difficult to get when you have to spam the EGO every turn in order to keep getting reverb tremor because Everlasting will always reset it.
