flashes were being abused and the DLC rightfully gave them improved resistance to flashes if you spam them. use a flash when you need to use a flash or when its an excellent time to do so, not just because you dont want to wait 20 seconds for the monster to land
the resistance is also longer for endgame additions so you shouldn't use flashes in thkse hunts at all outside of emergencies

2 minutes is a pretty fucking generous amount of time when you're fighting rathalos or any other monster that just likes to float around all day. you can flash one down and it'll go straight back to air camping the moment the flash wears off
look i get flashing was broken but there's better ways to balance it. make it so that, instead of just being nullified, the range of effect is simply more narrow, so you really have to aim your shot well and nail the fucker right between the eyes for it to work. turn flashing into something that rewards more skillful play rather than just removing it as an option.

Post the weapon layer you're making for your main. For me, it's rock with spikes.

This would be a great idea if the game didnt have KBM controls because it would be a nice form of skill expression. But unfortunately, anybody on KBM is just a sniper when it comes to shooting slinger ammo. And I say this as someone who swapped to KBM in gen 5 lol.
Hindsight is 20/20, maybe they'll find a better way to address this kind of thing going forward but it's a done deal in World.

No? I beat Risebreak with SA without ever using wirebug special moves. EE2 + Rapid Morph 3 was fun gameplay. If you mean the slow getup you can ignore by spending one meter you could've used for a wirebug move, then that's present in every game pre-Rise.

Performance aside, the game is very lacking in a variety of ways. Focus mode decreases the skill expression in positioning while focus strikes make the game just plainly too easy. Tempered wounds are an especially silly concept to me, why would the more difficult version of a monster come with an additional type of wound that creates an even bigger opening on top of still also having standard wounds. At the very least remove them from the arch tempered monsters as they are supposedly the most challenging monsters in the game.
The title updates are also odd to me. While I'm excited to be able to fight Legiacrus again after such a long time, it and Seregios really don't do much to change the more fundamental issues with this game. There will still be nothing to grind for or work towards and neither will they address the difficulty issues.
Last but not least it is genuinely impressive how Capcom managed to make a game that is both ugly to look at and has awful performance. Most of the time it's one or the other, you sacrifice graphics for a smoother gameplay experience or fps for nice looking graphics. Here it's just neither, I run the game on high graphical settings and at times the textures are so blurred that I really can't even tell what I'm supposed to be looking at( mostly in the oilwell basin).

Too real, it feels particularly bitter to get a game that both looks bad and runs terribly. Washed out colors, unimpressive textures, and the vistas they made look so damn bad that they purposely covered them all with fog so we wouldn't see how low quality they are. All of this running so terribly bad on a 14900k + 3090 that framegen is an absolute must to get mediocre framerates in the 60s/80s.
