I've had 10+ damage burst turns with the new imp lancer. (for example, popping an amulet on the board + sevo imp lancer + rage of serpents for 11 damage).
She also can be used as removal in a pinch. And if the enemy shows you an empty board on turn 6, you can just evo her into face and let them deal with a 5/8 bane on their turn.

Clearing Alouette is the most difficult part of the Portal matchup for Abyss in my experience. Once you get to Medusa/Cerberus territory, you're heavily advantaged, but Alouette is the one card that can break your back and make you lose the game if you can't answer it well. That's why I specifically tech for clearing Alouette, and in my experience that helps a lot with my winrate in that matchup.

Artifacts and spellboost are effectively treated as 0 cost stats. Every other class pays a tax for their gimmick portal and rune just get it for free. So everything portal and rune have will always outvalue everything every other class has. There clearly wasn't any real communication between the devs when making cards which is why there are cards like stormy blast having 2 base damage since they assume spellboost wont be super common. But then spellboost is slapped onto every single card rune has so stormy blast is hitting for 25 damage on turn 7.

Alouette can summon up to 5 cost because they assumed you wouldn't be having a ton of artifacts unless you committed to creating them. Except portal is generating artifacts while playing minions on a normal curve so when Alouette evolves she is guaranteed to get an extra 7 mana value not only from playing the card for free but also duping it doubling the value of all the artifacts.

I switched off from rune that was missing only 1dclimb (and cock I guess) to portal with 3 orchis 2 eudie and man my QoL playing this game is so much higher. Orchis is blessed for me because I keep topdecking/mulliganing her that helps me close out games as needed, usually with an extra puppet in hand to boot

As a havencraft player (storm if it matters), what do I do against artifact portal that plays Alouette on turn 5? The gamma(?) artifact wipes out what little board presence I have and Alouette himself is so beefy. Playing Salefa in response feels so bad. I don't think I've ever won against turn 5 Alouette since I lose so much tempo dealing with him and the artifact. By the time if I stabilize, I'm within one shot range of the gundam.
