We're powercreeping at a rate of 2-3 SV1 expansions per new set, having started roughly around the power level of SV1 set 6 or so. Cards like Charon (or Medusa or Aria) that are at best baseline for their set's power level are going to fall off the wayside very quickly under that kind of pressure.
