i once decided to play Grub for myself on anniversary and experience GW and oh boy that had to be one of the most miserable gaming experiences i've had on my entire life.
Genuinely eye opening, i couldn't believe how fucking terrible it was.

I thought the phrase "the game respects your time" was a meme but Grub genuinely fucking hates you and expects you do the most soul crushing grind known to humanity to get anything done in the game. It's some next level torture. From GW to Eternals to Evokers.
Everything is absolutely fucking miserable.
And even then i went for it and tried to do GW, spending hours upon hours farming meat on a tedious stage, setting up hotkeys to do it optimally.
Getting lucky and managing to make a 10-15 second clear Light team when the actual GW came in. And i spent around 8-12 hours each day going at it because the rewards looked good enough.

I eventually ran out of meat and i was going to get a good score. Fastforward the last day and i was dead last. With like 5 billion score or something can't remember, basically all the japs woke up and got ungodly scores on the last hours.
GW ends and i have literally nothing, no individual rewards, my guild did like shit too. I realized i just wasted a week of my life preparing for this shit and only got frustration out of it. So i immediately quit right there.

tl;dr
Grub is genuinely for mentally ill people. The absolute bottom of the barrel of gacha games. I genuinely and sincerely recommend anyone playing it to quit right away and take back their life. Don't waste anymore of your lifetime on it.

Lil bro, GBF is the only kusoge with an active multiplayer that allows you to COOP, farm (bar) raids with the other people (somewhat competitive when there are like 10+ with the optimal setups) and play GW against the other top crews together with your fellow tomodachis from your crew. Winning or losing - you do it with your crew which is great.

Every single other gachaslop divides people, they are single player games with no OLDSCHOOL mmo-like cooperation.
Grub can be grindy as much as you want it to be, on the other hand you can be a total seasonal casual shitter too. Or just grind some priority upgrades and only do 2 daily gold bar hosts that would take like 3 minutes top, if you have everything else ready which is the case for the active players.

you can blow your load ASAP and hopefully ramp up in the long term by winning the early tournaments now that there are few cards and there are good decks that aren't stacked with leggos. might even finish the set and then you can use it to open packs for vials exclusively
you can save your coins and make do with the free packs, then blow your load in a particularly spicy expansion in the future
or you can go steady and save some for each expansion at launch, so you always have a head start while not falling too far behind during the previous expansions
