In the current era, newbies are told to pick one character and stick with them forever, so they never actually play street fighter and instead they just play ken, or honda, or juri. The idea behind taking breaks from something like this is that if you go too hard you can end up hardstuck in your ways and spinning your wheels trying to force a flowchart or something. If you take a long break then you end up forgetting things about the game which gives you a chance to relearn them with a new perspective and hopefully correct a bad habit and/or lets you more easily introduce a new strat to your gameplan. The downside would be losing muscle memory a bit, but it's never too long before you shake the rust off. That said I wouldn't really think about it too much since taking a video game that seriously is a sure fire way to kill your motivation which is much much more detrimental than being a bit suboptimal. Either way it's not a race and there is no finish line.

I'm moving over to playing on PC since I barely use my Xbox anymore for SF6. But I'm noticing that even with the same controller, I'm hitting my special-inputs WAY less reliably on PC than on Xbox (Bluetooth on both)
I've made sure the dead-zone, sensitivity and negative-edge input settings is the same on PC as it is on Xbox.

Contrary to popular opinion, I think Remy has a real chance, the most scrimblo thing about him is that he sucked ass and was featured in only one game. His design is very contentional (the most unconventional thing about him is not being giga roided), his edgelord persona is still better than those of the joke characters and his playstyle isn't anything unorthodox, it shouldn't be hard to breathe some life into him and bring him back in after being MIA for 25+ years. He would also become an instant favorite of fangirls due to his design and angsty personality (he already has some, even as a scrimblo).
