>>529964064Raid 1 is extremely easy to set up, at least on linux, because you can just use mdadm. I think that that software might be on linux, but when you install the hdds, you just use it to create a software RAID drive and then the computer and mdadm basically handles the rest.
IMO it's absolutely worth it because you don't need to worry about backing up or forgetting or lock up your system unloading hundreds of gigabytes of files every two weeks.
