I enjoy TK until the endgame which feels like the exact opposite of how theyre supposed to feel. Theyre a slowburn campaign where the game kind of expects you to slowly raise your settlements because of their abyssmal growth and all their buildings costing a lot as a tradeoff for no upkeep. By the time they can field 1 endgame/T5 unit, the AI has been fielding countless of them and instead of it feeling like you finally have momentum with their endgame units like necrosphinxes and khemrian warsphinxes it feels like the bare minimum needed to even stand a chance. Because most other enemy factions will have countless endgame unit stacks while you might have 3-4 of your best units per army.

I unironically like their early game. They are the only faction who prioritizes cavalry to do the heavy lifting and their maps (deserts) support that very well. Throwing tons of bones at problems and midgame with couple power bump units (Ushabti and Scorpions) feel really good. Like you, I dislike endgame the most. By then I have multiple provinces from early game hitting t5 one right after another (especially since Khemri and Numas are 2 settlements only so others catch up) and with Necrotect cap buffs suddenly you're fielding 8 Hierotitans, Warsphinxes and Necrosfinxes and you start steamrolling hard. Imo at least one of those should be dropped to t4 to spread the power balance a bit.

Harlequin campaign should be about working to set up the Rhana Dandra. Do a series of tasks across the galaxy that seem random and inexplicable but that all lead towards acquiring bonuses, mcguffins, etc. so that when the day comes Cegorach just fucking btfos Chaos and Slaanesh in particular so hard that every soul taken by Chaos gets freed in one final galaxy-wide act. A bit like a mix of Changeling and Welves, but better realized.
Also they should have neutral relationships with Imperium, Orks, T'au, etc. since in it's canon they're basically the one group of xenos that gets to go all over the place more or less unimpeded.

If you're Kugath with Nurglings, yes.
If you're anyone else, you most likely want to spam spells to provoke your enemy to abandon the high ground (either lore of death to target lords or Lord of Nurgle to target infantry), and then use your (most likely) 18 units of melee infantry/cav to wrap around the enemy.

I'm playing Cathay all peasants and its going surprisingly even better than normal. Peasantmanii are so dirt cheap you can run 3 armies for price of one normal army. I am steamrolling three different fronts with multiple armies each and still have money to field 2 defensive armies in vulnerable chokepoints. All by turn 26. Peasants having Charge Defense against all means they take ages to fold to infantry, allowing Wall of Wind & Fire wipe out whatever they cant kill. Archers are meh but there's thousands of them so they work quite well too.

If you're struggling, the south-easternmost Chorf is easiest in my opinion. He has least hyperaggressive and dangerous foes coming at him one after another, and most dangerous nearby enemies fold to couple blunderbusses easily. Once your basic infrastructure is set up, Grimgor becomes much easier to take down. You could always go for ambush cheese too, since that way you prevent Waagh armies from joining.

Newbie here confused about percentage modifiers. Some percentage buffs like weapon strength are direct multipliers (10% ws on 100dmg weapon mean 110 damage), but some percentage buffs are additive (if your base replenishment is 5% per turn, +10% replenishment doesnt give you 5,5% total but a massive +15%, tripling your replenishment rate)

DESU Ratclick is more realistic than TWWH. Imagine fully-geared Empire Captain, Waystalker, Fire Wizard and hybrid Dwarf Engineer/Thane going against mostly small packs of Clanrats and Marauders, with Patrols being only ~12 Stormvermin or Chaos Warriors (3 per hero) and Trolls/Chaos Spawn only coming as single entities. Even horde waves are less than 120 skavenslaves, ie trivial. A four-man hero stack like this would handle them with zero issues, especially considering they all have some form of Regeneration (thp generation/Kerillians team-wide hp regen).
