I want to like it, but its kinda awkward. Plays super differently to every other mech in the game.
The artillery strikes completely fuck on Stego/Tricera, if it doesnt kill them it at least forces them to move, which can be huge for the rest of the team. You also interrupt people on objectives really easily.
The lock-on immunity is nice - the trick to it is only using it for like a second turning it on & off almost immediately. The cooldown length scales with how long it's used, its like 20+ seconds off a full use but about 6 seconds after the short flicker which is often all you need to get to safety.
The grapple is awesome, it fucks up an enemy's targeting for 4 seconds making them see enemies as friends and friends as enemies - it can literally win teamfights if you do have a decent team.
Wallhacks, shooting through walls with charged shots/artillery and capping objectives from a distance are all really cool, but there doesn't seem to be many places on the existing maps where its super useful.
It pretty much needs a good team, decent composition and maybe even voice comms so you can call out enemy positions from your scan. Very hit-or-miss in random games.

I realized almost too late that I was surrounded by storms. I had to fly as quick as I can between two storms that (on the map) were touching but the storms take a bit to catch up to where they are on the map. The only exception would be to isolate the Elimination Mode maps from the other Strike maps. Those could have a Pinaka/Luminae requirement.
The Payload maps make them fairly beneficial given all damage is clustered on one or two points at all times, although a healer could easily be replaced by almost any other combat mech.
But the maps with keys, extractors and control points where everyone is more mobile and spread out, I'd rather have a sixth fighter nine times out of ten.

In fact, I want the Default Strikers menu to let me select my picks for each individual map.

Luminae and Pinaka are the only two team healers.
The former does very mediocre damage on a per target basis, but stacking on multiple forms of direct HP damage and spreading it across multiple enemies at once can make a difference.
The latter can deal good damage with the shotgun at point blank, more so situationally if you attach your support drone on a melee ally and unload the remote shotgun once said ally is in an enemy's face and keeping them locked down.
Hurricane is the only other mech close to a Support, but he's all shields and decoys for stationary situations, no heals.

It depends heavily on the situation but the highest dps is 2 main 1 energy for the multi-slash attack, the 3 slash energy roundhouse does come close if both waves hit. That said it will never work on the panther training bot you're better off holding parry and letting him run into you.

Hold the ranged melee to enter parry stance. Press auxiliary 1 twice to do a mini-panther-lunge (fails if the target breaks lock)
Cancel auxiliary 2 early to reduce it's cooldown. Rely on it for short bursts of stealth in OV & AA.
Abuse the spinning slash (melee x3 > ranged melee once or twice depending on context) on pretty much everything.
Use the flurry slashes (melee x2 > ranged melee) on anything that's against a wall or in a corner. Unreliable to use more than once in my experience.
Use the jumping slash (melee x1 > ranged melee) to ground flying targets, keep in mind you have to stay locked onto them for it to hit reliably. You can also bunny-hop single targets by spamming it, but if they're a fellow melee you'll probably get parried.
Remember to use auxiliary 3 at the end of each combo to disrupt their targeting in case they try to retaliate, and disengage with a jump-dash & auxiliary 2.
Mind your EN consumption and don't spend too long cloaked or you'll be without cloak for longer.

Serenith does insane damage and is very effective on the tanks. Also, in the water capture map, An enemy Serenith was denying the middle capture point because I couldn't see where it was shooting from. It's just orbital strikes from above. The range is insane too.

The tether as far as I know basically incapacitates a chosen enemy and it has 3 charges.

All 3 are pretty good, Inferno is probably slightly weaker because he gets bodied by melee classes. Stellaris is probably the one with the most potential, but I could easily see Serenith fitting into the high rank meta a little more.

At high ranks, melee classes just insta-die to Tricera+Stego positioning and Luminae out-healing them.
