As such if you've stagnated in rank and have done a lot of team trials it might be worth gambling the 5% chance or so you MOODMAX the fuck out of his roster and sweep him for a new high score

The problem is you can't communicate to hons to tell them to stay off the injured leg, and hons' cardiovascular system requires them to be standing and walking to ensure proper bloodflow to everything.
Owners have tried before, but it ultimately just winds up prolonging the suffering of injured horse when it's a compound fracture and winds up putting those who're taking care of the horse at way more risk because a hurting horse is way more likely to spook and freak out and hurt itself further.

horse anatomy isnt like human or dog or other mammal anatomy, where breaking a leg is inconvenient but we can survive being bedridden for a while or just limp.

horses with a broken leg cant even breathe properly, their veins are also made in a way that constricts blood flow to prevent it rushing back up their veins too fast which you'll note is considered a serious medical condition in other mammals and which fucks them over if their leg doesn't work, their bones can bend and get permanently fucked rather than having clean breaks and easy healing, their stomach lining is very thin and prone to issues, and they make for absolutely terrible patients and will frequently injure and re-injure themselves in recovery instead of quietly sitting with a cone of shame and a cast like a dog
