I actually think the frost rework looks pretty good. Keeps the same core elements while adding some new animations and talent choices. Unholy and Blood look really rough next season. The removal of abomination limb because 'uh it would have been too good in the raid this patch' is piss poor reasoning for removing a pretty important tool for grouping as blood dk. Now talenting into Gorefiends is going to be basically mandatory as blood's biggest weakness has always been early grouping and aoe threat while on the move. you're going to hear a lot of doomposters here because yeah the story is pretty ass overall. But as far as gameplay elements? Honestly, might be the best the game has been in 10 years. Delves are really awesome if you're more casual or not into m+, you can earn the Mythic transmogs for each patch entirely solo if you are dedicated enough via Great Vault + Catalyst charges. There's a lot of fun events constantly, and we're getting a housing system in Midnight. WoW is unironically doing very well right now and without being a turbo shill I think its worth trying out. We are kind of nearing the end of the current patch though, 11.2 launches early August which basically resets the gear treadmill.

I came back to the game specifically for Delves but they greatly disappointed me. They just turned into a constant grind just like any other piece of content, and they were quite poorly tuned, especially depending on class and spec. I was disappointed they ditched having new companions to do the Delves with on new seasons. And this is just subjective but I thought 99% of the rewards were all just pretty shitty. I still think they were a good addition, but they were a pretty big swing and a miss for me.

The thing that gets me is that challenge modes/Mage Tower/Torghast were all about cosmetic rewards, and they were all cool and at least somewhat unique. Delves have a handful of hats, a white bug mount, and one plane mount per season—not even delve-specific mounts! And, frankly, the autistic obsession with the seasonal mounts always being planes has been disappointing, to say the least, when they could have been more generally tied into the themes of that season’s delve nemesis.

Upgrade material, 4 types depending on gear tier. Lower tier gear needs lower end crests that are easier to get, higher tier gear needs runed/gilded which are harder to get and typically weekly locked.

It all revolves around the Great Vault. You get to pick one piece of gear per week from the great vault, with iLvL and number of choices depending how much you have done for the various tracks. You 'ideally' want to max out all 3 tracks but most people just stick to one. There are some catch up mechanics now to get you champion gear fast, including Overcharged Delves, Nightfall, and I think Dastardly Duos? To get good gear from Delves you need Bountiful Delves and their respective keys, which are weekly locked.

Raids run fine for me, but some mechanics like the web pizza slices on Silken court cause my game to completely chug no matter what. Not sure what changed, don't remember seeing issues like that in SL.

I have pretty modest specs (RTX 5070, Ultra 9 285K, 32gb ram) and have no performance issues whatsoever. Maybe you guys should consider moving past Windows 7and a 750 Ti?

pretty sure only legendaries and mounts have drop chance boosted atm. Don't think it affects 'normal' drops like the scythe of the unmaker or tusks of mannoroth. The 'extra' drops thing is either bugged or not very well worded, because all it does it take what you would have normally gotten and duplicated the items. You don't get any new drops, just more of the same item.
