you're going to hear a lot of doomposters here because yeah the story is pretty ass overall. But as far as gameplay elements? Honestly, might be the best the game has been in 10 years. Delves are really awesome if you're more casual or not into m+, you can earn the Mythic transmogs for each patch entirely solo if you are dedicated enough via Great Vault + Catalyst charges. There's a lot of fun events constantly, and we're getting a housing system in Midnight. WoW is unironically doing very well right now and without being a turbo shill I think its worth trying out. We are kind of nearing the end of the current patch though, 11.2 launches early August which basically resets the gear treadmill.

I came back to the game specifically for Delves but they greatly disappointed me. They just turned into a constant grind just like any other piece of content, and they were quite poorly tuned, especially depending on class and spec. I was disappointed they ditched having new companions to do the Delves with on new seasons. And this is just subjective but I thought 99% of the rewards were all just pretty shitty. I still think they were a good addition, but they were a pretty big swing and a miss for me.

to me the version we have now does feel a bit incomplete, but they've changed them already quite a bit over the last couple seasons thus far. We weren't able to get gilded crests (in fair quantity) from them until this current season, and overcharged delves are a new addition as well. I think they will be expanded upon in the future.
