Spy/infiltration/scheming mechanics, can use limited Dark Elf units and masquerade them as normal High Elf units.

The issue is that I just got TWW 3, and when sitting down to start a campaign I got a little bit of the first-time jitters; who do I play? There are obvious answers, but here's where things get weird. I don't like playing a faction I empathize until I feel comfortable with the systems in place. I don't like the idea that I'm letting all those cute little German girls down. This means I can't play "good" factions like High Elves, Empire, Chaos Dwarves and other factions that are sympathetic.
What's a good faction for learning the ropes in TWW 3 where you can feel good if they fail or die in droves?

The Rule of Might is a total conversion mod, it makes heroes significantly weaker than in vanilla but still capable of taking on lone units, splits units into three tiers(militia, professional soldier and elite) and completely reworks the colour autism, militia can be recruited by anyone but more specialised units need the correct type of general, also a lot of units have more than one colour now so the system is a lot more flexible and forgiving than vanilla

AI units that are removed from artillery will come back to it 99% of the time now, unless they randomly forget, as opposed to always leaving it permanently the moment they were either engaged in melee or scared away. AI also seems to move in a way that makes more sense in general, but the cost is sometimes they will make big piles that are just made for big spells like Pit of Shades, Flames of Azgorh or Dwellers Below, but then they always did that I guess
