Spy/infiltration/scheming mechanics, can use limited Dark Elf units and masquerade them as normal High Elf units.

Well, they did layoff hundreds after the hyenas disaster, they're making Alien Isolation 2, and are revealing games (plural, their own words) in december for the anniversary. I had a look at my bret campaign that's in the later stages and they're pretty similar stats wise. This is just with technology and veterancy, no red skills for them on this particular lord I have them in. Technically you can get to them to 200+ Armour as Bret but that's nothing you'd get to before map painting happens

No, it goes back to level 1 and starts all over again. You can speed up the process by using infections or whatever the name of those flies you use to make diseases. Three reasons:
1) Arcing fire, so you can keep them firing on blobs without hurting your own units after lines clash. They can also fire at units behind walls without having to break the walls first.
2) They get huge accuracy buffs from unit ranks. Rank 1 mortar aint gonna hit shit, rank 9 will nail nearly every shot within calibration range
3) Their damage is mostly non-ap, whereas catapults are AP. This makes them very bad against armored units, but their high explosion radius means good damage on low-armor units once you hit them
They are low-tier non-ap easy-to-use artillery that doesnt give a fuck whether enemy is behind a wall or fighting your frontline. They "cant" be powerful, or they'd be way higher tier and upkeep.

Banner of Swiftness is one of my favorite banners. One of the strongest too. Strider alone makes it great, especially for cavalry/chariots, since it removes penalty for attacking uphill and for fighting in forests. The speed bonus is the icing on the cake.
I'm pretty sure Strider also removes or reduces unit contact inertia, since Chariot Settra without it struggles to disengage but with it Settra moves through infantry as if they werent there

The Rule of Might is a total conversion mod, it makes heroes significantly weaker than in vanilla but still capable of taking on lone units, splits units into three tiers(militia, professional soldier and elite) and completely reworks the colour autism, militia can be recruited by anyone but more specialised units need the correct type of general, also a lot of units have more than one colour now so the system is a lot more flexible and forgiving than vanilla
