I just started playing a week ago and it only took me a couple days to get from bronze to gold after hours of practice range and quick matches. now I'm stuck in bronze 2 ATM and just went on a 5 game losing streak. luckily I only lose like 15 elo per game. It seems like my teams are always genuinely bronze while the others aren't. Is this a normal problem to have? I'm not the reason we lost those games. The DPS on my team have been going stuff like 0-6 and 1-10. It's insane

What is wrong with this game? It seems like if you have shit healers, the game the round is dead in the crib. The game feels terrible when one particular role is terrible. The Cap nerfs were undeserved and destroyed him. It took me half of last season to finally find my rhythm with him again. What helps is:
1) Play him like in season zero, with your shield down while jumping unless you absolutely need it to defend yourself, that way you’re giving it the extra time it needs to recharge.
2) don’t play him as a diver so aggressively. Be more of a brawler who’s looking for an opening to dive.
3) don’t try to stall so hard. If your team is dead, stall for a bit and then retreat to safety.
4) punch deployables. All shields, clones, ankhs, and squids. You can’t do shit unless the battlefield is clear so you may as well help the team clear it.

As for diving, I try to keep an eye on their back line while brawling and when I see a support or DPS player start to drift out of position and too far away from the rest of their team, that’s when I try to dive with the intent to kill. You can still pressure them by diving a group by I always do it with the intention of quickly retreating because I know I’m not killing anyone. Also I forgot to mention before, always play with the payload, especially when you’re on attack. It’s like an extra shield and it heals you. I’m always either just a tiny bit ahead of it or behind it. Just keep trying. You’ll get the hang of him again eventually.
