Compared to other greatshields, it's very much middle-ground at everything with only a STR requirement of 24. Decent elemental resistances at 50-ish for all four, alright guard boost of 60, and not too heavy at 12.5 units.

Unfortunately, there really aren't that many medium shields that stand out stat-wise. This is all anecdotal from my sword n board playthrough:
>Brass Shield
-Heaviest med shield, decent resistances, and guard boost on par with weaker greatshields
>Carian Knight Shield
-Notably high magic resist of 70, dogshit in every other element. Very handy against magic-heavy fights.
>Heater Shield
-Best beginner shield and one of the few shields with 100% physical resistance at the start. Extremely cheap and can be bought immediately from roundtable.
>Great Turtle Shell
Basically this game's Grass Crest Shield due to its built-in passive (slightly increased stamina recovery). A bit heavy for it's okay stats.
>Twinbird Kite Shield
Mid-game shield at Leyendell, and its elemental stats aren't that great. Main useage is that it gives a small boost to atk/def at low HP, which is nice. Also extremely stylish.
>Banished Knight Shield
A slightly worse brass shield in most aspects, but also extremely fashionable, which is the only reason why I used it.

It's pretty amazing for her, though the ideal would be to have also a 3+ seal FP bonus on it.
The FP on successive attacks won't help much as after one or two rises you'll be able to stick to casting only.
I'm actually having a good time soling as Revenant with the Augur + Everdark Pest + Portrait relics, which requires 0 RNG.

It would probably be more optimal to have more damage, and specially a Gaol effect in there somewhere, but this gives her a ton of HP, FP and summon healing, so I get to have them live a little bit longer against bosses.

"fighting alongside family" is not that good because the only good effect is on frederick who boosts your damage. get either a good relic or ghostflame with good secondary effects like evergaol and hoarfrost/bell, ghostflame could help with trash a little at least but so would hoarfrost desu
personally I also run Augur to avoid anything from oneshotting me, distributing buff-items and sharing flasks with allies which also includes summons but it matters more for your actual team

Hear me out; ditch the halberd and only use the shield. It increases the shields block rating when two handing, it deals the same damage per attack as the halberd (albeit with lower DPS), it can counter attack and it deals far more stagger damage (I think about 30% more).

Why'd they have to make shields so bad on every character but Guardian?
Even on Wylder or Raider, if you get a purple greatshield with like 80+ guard boost, your full stamina bar is blown away by like 2-3 basic enemy attacks. It feels like using a completely un-upgraded random medium shield in base Elden Ring.

Passive/"""ability""" wise: Personally i picture this Moghwyn man a bit more heavily armored, melee and that starts low-ish in health but gets more max health the more kills/boss kills he gets so he COULD have more than Guardian in extremely good runs but less health than Wylder in bad runs, basically feast or famine though with hopefully a nice middle ground.
He also can resurrect himself reconstructing himself from blood, if everyone dies. Basically a free wending grace but only works once per game. Oh and some passive healing ofc

Then his skill would be something like that has a long cooldown but you can either do damage or spend some of your blood (health) to lower it (if you do it too much you get a slight damage decrease because that's what happens when you lose too much blood) and ask for aid to the Formless Mother and get 3 choices of some cool bloodflame related skills while idling in the pose that Mohg does with his Hand up before doing the bloodflame splash/rain (i choose it to be like that cus it makes sense with Formless mother lore, the more you wound yourself up the more she's willing to aid you)

Then finally his ultimate art would be that you grow up wings like Mohg and your attacks heal you more than normal, you attack faster, you are faster and can double jump now with your new wings.
But with a trick, if you use your skill in this state then you surrender to your thirst and like pump your blood flow to the extreme, you get a damage boost (on top of attacking faster) and your health starts depleting with increasing speed, the more damage you do the more this state will last until the health depletion is too fast to keep up (or you job) and you just die/faint (if you're solo herle comes the self resurrect part)

All of these accompanied with lots of nice bloody sound effects to add more crisp to the gameplay :)

When I was doing Havoc, I had bubble and flame staff and I'd just stay right behind the Ogryn so he could protect me then I'd drop a bubble forward so he could keep moving forward, then flame everything he taunted and it worked perfectly. Oh I think I just realized why I'm not having fun with NR compared to the last PvE game I played
I don't mind the repetitiveness itself actually. It's just that the game feels so solved to the point that it feels like adaptability and teamwork are now a non-factor in our gameplans. We know the routing, we know what are good points to challenge formidibosses and the castle, etc. - we got so good at the moment to moment build building that we just blender bosses without even needing to flex our knowledge of the movesets. It's just a bit too rote and repetitive. There's no chaos or any real feeling of having to pay attention to your teammates.
Still an awesome game I have put almost 200 hours into, but I'm starting to see why this game was never going to be my next huge long-term time sink.

It'd be an interesting alternate story, where you sort of end up fighting the parallel hero to yourself, but I think that it suddenly veering sp far left into having you fight someone that's corrupted by the Frenzied Flame, which is for all intents and purposes a sort of like side thing in the lore and not part of the main 'plot' of the gods and such, it would be a like kind of jarring change I think and would require sweeping changes to the plot to make it work, which like at that point its more of a lime "The main story plot should've been different and focused less on the demigods" more than just a "Vyke should've been the last boss"
For sure he should've had more focus on him though rather than having him weirdly be fought twice with basically no fanfare or context though

Ironeye has the second easiest remembrance because you can do it as Ironeye.
The easiest is Raider because all you need to do is duel against a bunch of weak enemies while playing as Raider.
Revenant's is pretty rough, but becomes easier during the solo segments.

The hardest is Recluse by far, since you need to beat the final boss as her.

the only one that is kinda convoluted is the Dragon Priestess one, the rest are extremely straightforward. they tell you explicitly where to go and even give you letters/maps etc that you can reference later if you forget. massively different from base game NPC quests
