Lion is a low S tier fight. The dodge pattern is so rhythmic and fluid. Overcoming it was incredible solo and cooping when the dlc released was so memorable. It would be the best boss of the game without the camera being so shit. I wish there wasn’t a second one because it lessens the impact of the first one. If Vyke became Elden Lord that would have meant chaos won before we got there which not only ruins the chaos ending for us but also kills our other options. Which for the most part I like. So I don’t mind the idea of more Vyke, but Radagon and Hoarah Loux are just way more interesting in their current place in the story and way better boss fights. I've been pretty down on Guardian in this thread, but just want to clarify, even if he's the "worst" nightfarer, ALL of them are "overpowered" compared to base Elden Ring characters and all of them can do all of the content in the game just fine
If you want to play to his strengths, I suggest gemming up for plenty of sustain, he's super good at surviving and can clutch through almost anything with minimal effort, even if other characters can do that too it doesn't mean he's "bad at it" or something

Pretty straightforward, just hold your shield up and use the charged guard counter whenever it's safe to do so, it does a fuckton of stagger damage, but try to leave the crits for your teammates since your damage is not that great. Save your ult for clutch double revives since it's not that useful otherwise (imho) and use your ability for crows.

You should probably play him like a normal character most of the time, his S scaling in arcane lets you pump out a ton of damage, something you can't do if you're just holding out the sun catcher out all the time like a jackass.
You should only be using it against humanoid enemies, or just any enemy that attacks a lot and can be staggered, like Royal Revenant.
That being said, Suncatcher has a ton of clutch potential and is just overall really fun too use, and the sheathe/unsheathe animations have parry frames to them, so you can do some fancy stuff with that, Just keep in mind that you walk super slow while you have it out, so make sure to unsheathe it and play normally whenever you don't have aggro.
