What's your goal in playing? Are you playing purely because you're a gachafag who's into Fate, or do you want specific chars? Both? Neither?

For generic advice:
The freebies are tied to doing three fights a day and maintaining a login streak. Other than that, you just have to do the story as you can.

- Do the tutorial to understand battle basics
- Use your AP as much as you can. Once you get high enough account level, your AP bar will be 12 hours big but that'll be a few weeks/months
- The content is soloable as a f2p, and you can get carried by OP friend supports. Nasu wants salarymen to read while commuting.
- Don't burn Servants until you have NP5 of each. Including bronzes and silvers. The story will give you a few limited ones you'll never see again unless you're a whale.
- Roll your free daily 10x FP roll every day. That's where you'll get more bronzes and silvers.
- The gameplay meta generally revolves around support Servants who come once a year or so. If you want to be a gameplayfag, save for them.
- You level Servants with exp cards dropped from the ember training node. You can worry about that once you finish the tutorial.
- Focus on levelling one Servant at a time if you can but level as many Servants as you can overall.
- All the event welfare Servants will be available in the Evocation shop eventually. Evocation leaves can only be obtained from doing your dailies. Most of them are strong and good to have. I cannot emphasise enough that doing your dailies and maintaining your login streak are super important.
- The Wikia has a complete details of every story fight node and free quest node. Just look them up if you're having a hard time. Or ask here for help.
- Post friend code.

Just take it easy and read the main story as you go along. There's a bunch of free servants that are being routinely being added to Da Vinci's shop that are very good. You can very far into the game by just borrowing a friend's maxed DPS servant while you support it with your own servants, it's way easier to do that than to roll for multiple copies of a DPS that you still have to built up to 120 yourself. Lostbelt 7 will probably wall you by that point but you'll have enough time to level your servants.
Support servants you should be looking to obtain are: Castoria (top choice), Oberon, Koyanskaya and Summer Skadi.

Originally for me it was the mecha musume design. The first time I saw her was honestly the first time any gacha character was an instant must roll just for design, for me. I had a moment that I can only describe as identical to that time as a kid I picked up a copy of Xenosaga in a game store and saw KOS-MOS for the first time. Just "holy shit she's so fucking cool".

Following that I ended up actually really loving her story in LB6. I like her origin concept and the whole relationship she has with Aurora being this utterly doomed desire to make the person who made her who she is happy but that person being a fucking terrible person, is such a great tragedy with an impactful ending, loved it.

Choco's design work for her in general is dripping with his love too. He clearly has a deep, deep love for her with not only how much he draws her, but the things he draws of her too. That one fucking etch a sketch explaining which of her weapons in her final ascension is Geoffrey and Fromont, for example.

Other than that she's generally just really cool and cute.

Team comp is pretty much on a quest by quest basis but it should be working out if your setup is basically use the AoE NPs to clear wave 1 and 2 and then have Vlad clean up wave 3 except for bosses.
Aesc would fall off if she has to fight riders or rulers, and Jinako against the knight classes so it wouldn't hurt to have backup replacements for them (summer Scathach on the evocation shop is an AoE assassin so that covers Aesc, Jinako would need like 3 others to replace, or you could cope with a NP5 3* berserker)
