Right after the nexon logo the game locks up, if I try to interact with it windows just says it's not responding and gives me the option of force closing it. If you ignore it after about 7-8 minutes it unfreezes, but when you hit start on the title screen it does it again for another 3-4 minutes. Once it unfreezes then, the game starts working fine.

Glacier has nothing to do with it. Glacier just deals dmg and disables healing for your team (but not the heater). You remove it to be able to heal your team, stop the dmg dealt every few seconds to your students and to get a recovery boost on your heater. Repositioning is a completely different thing. Your team needs to move or in 50 seconds they all freeze permanently. That's why pretty much all clears use I.Mine for that raid.

Yes. If you have iMari as the first EX skill you can start the fight with auto casts on and she'll consistently be in the same place with iSaku to her right and uAsuna to the left, moving bHosh between them after the big laser ends and THEN casting a Mari EX causes them all to scatter.

I tried this strat and it was consistent, but my P2 damage wasn't fat enough and everyone freezes there - the strat assumes you beat P2 before everyone freezes, or at least the rotation I was copying did.
I ended up using a 4* tYuuka and 1 teaming Insane with it because the bHosh was more trouble than it was worth.
