Toroids are a pain without boosters, so set a farm with a buddy and get yourself 500+ of those to be comfortable for a time.
Anything else depends on what/where you are in the game and your progress.

He honestly doesn't need much. The main problem with Nidus is that his playstyle forces you to hunker down in one spot. Which in modern warframe, there's not too many mission types where you really do that.
Stacking in short missions isn't much of an issue since Insatiable gets you 100 stacks in 10 seconds.
The second issue is that his larval grab can't be recasted without an augment and enemies that grabbed, tend to get stuck on shit such as doors or walls.
Nidus needs to be more mobile or have more flexibility.
Like a simple change where making his 4th ability affected by range mods and changing his 3 to where parasitic linked enemies move with you would help immensely.
