Huh, the guide says to level up the longnose shark to 4, but if you follow it perfectly then you have enough meat to level it to 5 and still sell 5 sushi, figured it might have a use later on, but the rest is just tuna fishing. I don't know why is not recommending leveling up to 5, it doesn't make sense.

When I saw how long the guide was and the UI for the dave mini game I just thought to myself great anthor buggy laggy annoying ass chore list I'll do because i want the exp rewards, honestly I was planning to fully skip this after seeing how long the written guide is but figured eh I'll atleast try it once

Gotta admit, to say i was surprised was a understatement, I actually like it lol, aside from the yut mini game which i personally like albeit being too long, this is the only other minigame I have enjoyed, I like the diving and restraunt, the controls feel fine, the entire thing takes 5-10 mins, the rewards are really good, and I'm considering buying the actual game, credit where credit is due I really like this collaboration

you're just going to succumb to the cancer that is horrid patch QA and live with being a slightly shittier class occasionally. for example, as of this patch lynn's awaken is set to the old cd of 2 minutes and kanna's hexa domain's fd is broken and only fixable by downgrading by using a level 29 domain node

this patch kanna got to solo exbm for free and lynn has been in 100% of the hard limbo parties outside of servers with 6 lines of potential on each item lets not pretend this casino doesnt pay out sometimes

Big Bang gets so much scapegoat as the patch that ruined the game. I'd argue the updates between 2009-2010 were worse. The game started losing its classic feel as soon as Cygnus Knights dropped. I remember when Evans needed Cash Shop exclusive skill books. As soon as Hidden Potentials came out, I quit for over a year. Came back in Chaos patch and I felt better because of the craftable potential system. However, Unleashed patch ruined it all by making boss HP hundredfold higher.

Dual Blades effectively made Night Lords obsolete overnight. Effectively, they had the damage advantage of a star thrower but without the downsides like punching in melee distance. Then you add on Flash Jump and Self Haste lol. Critical rates were also very strong. To top it all off, a spammable FMA. This was like the first class that broke the NL meta.

And of course, the game become somewhat bearably P2W to being unbearably P2W with DBs requiring their skill books from CS and hidden potential system. Let's not forget the next patch made secondary-stat-less builds more common thanks to VIP weapons. This might be the largest pre-big bang power creep jump.

However, I can definitely say it was nice to have a class to level up significantly faster without a change in XP curve. Man what a time to be alive.

I ran code x15 with zero deaths on my first boss and got 277,563. Lost one life in the second boss (code x15) and got 221,051 with 19 lives left. Did the last 3 code x15 with 19 lives remaining and finished with 1,161,767. Completing a boss with 19 lives instead of 20 created a difference of 56,512 points.

I've been playing without guides for 1.5 years now and I just looked up some hexa stuff recently and realized that I'm beyond bricked. I've got the main attack skill at level 19 and most of the other skills at 1 when apparently you're only supposed to get the main skill to 19 after some skills are already 29. I also haven't done anything with hexa stats.

On the plus side, there are some serious gains to be made.

How do people enjoy Dave? Half the game is just wandering around trying to find exactly where the fish you need is while running away from a swarm of hostile fish that take ages to kill with the harpoon. Melee is almost entirely unviable since the fish will hit you before you can hit them and you take damage even from something like touching a shark from behind.

you can parry verus hilla's strings it works just fine
if the attack's hitbox collides with your hurtbox while royal guard is active you will do a parry even if that attack would do no damage

There's little reason to pay attention to such patches. It was mentioned in the context of the ascent skills that kms is using the new 6th job skills to balance classes by giving weaker classes stronger skills. You only have a problem if you play a class that the devs hate, like wild hunter.

I just came back last week after not playing for three years and, while it was kinda hard to get adjusted back into the game, it's totally doable. Just log in and play the way you used to, don't worry about the new stuff. Once you get acclimated to playing the game again, then try the new stuff one at a time. Just don't rush anything and try to learn about everything all at once or you'll get overwhelmed. Maple is not a race and trying to be maximum efficiency will just burn you out.

I make a lot of characters and make them cute cus I wanna try out playing them, I came back roughly 3 years ago and it can def be overwhelming, I'm a reg player and I think its in the best position its been in for a long time, but reboot is simply more streamlined for the average player as a game and experience, therefore it has the most players and I would recommend you to play on there too
im an outlier cus I already played reboot when it came out and I was top of my class for years, but I just have no want to play it anymore

Reboot has a much higher population of players (Bera is the only regular server that isn't dead as fuck) and is much more F2P than regular servers, but progression is much slower because you can't trade with other players AT ALL, even when it comes to normal, non P2W shit like buying nodestones off other players and whatnot. But that's not to say reg servers require you to dump your wallet per se, it's only if you want to become extremely OP extremely quickly. You can definitely progress F2P without whaling in reg servers, especially nowadays. After I started playing again I was surprised at how much easier they made the game in the last few years since I last played. There's also been a ton of really nice quality of life updates. Adding to what the other anons said, I used to play on reboot and the lack of trading turns into kind of a pain in the ass later. It's not exactly like either type of server is P2W, it's more of a "pick your poison" kind of scenario when you consider that on reg servers some cash items are tradeable so you can just get stuff like vac pets, pre-upgraded items, or just fashion stuff if you just save enough money.
On reboot if you want good equip you're gonna have to upgrade them yourself and suffer through all the RNG involved, and there's no way around cash stuff like vac pets.
I quit playing like 3 years ago as well and just returned last week, kinda like the other anon, and playing on reg made me wish I hadn't started on reboot back then.

I don't know why people call things a "struggle run" and then proceed to shout at others and belittle them in all caps when they are learning a boss. The party leader was waiting maybe 25 minutes for a NWill party and then proceeds to make everyone dip after like 5 minutes because he was so insufferable, lol. Only typed in all caps and most of it was Spanish so I didn't understand a lot of it. Why not just do Hwill with players who know the mechs better?

And no, it wasn't me. Some other player was continuously creating orbs during P1 test even though both sides had a shield/barrier. This caused one or two people to die each time thus failing the test.

I politely asked if someone was dying to orbs and no one responded and eventually most of the party got down to 2-3 lives (without even getting Will under 75% HP) and left.

What do y'all think? Do struggle runs (will)ingly invite players with less mechanical knowledge or should those players still be expected to know everything like the back of their hand? I personally do tons of research before even attempting bosses

I have been playing since 2006, I reach lv 270 for the first time of my life yesterday, and then I did Angler compnay.

This is not funny nexon, or nexon korea I don't care who made this cancer quest.

This quest is designed to kill your soul, and not only kill it but first suck all hope and life from it, and then kill it.

Not only they made me think I finished it after the STORY (It took 30 minutes with ACTUAL quests like the laser puzzle twice and robot puzzle twice)

I realized after 30 minutes of cancer this was just the STORY, then I had to start the actual quest which is the same CANCAER but alot harder...

The stage 5 If I remember correctly is the Robot puzzle when you collect energy and pess SPACE to run the robot, THIS IS PURE CANCER, It is not about skill, I wasted 30 minutes just there, so the way it works:

you waste 5 minutes of your life killing mobs to collect energy and then press SPACE to become a robot, just then you stat the cancer jump quest with a robot.

there are few floors, each floor if you fail you start from zero, and everytime you lose energy you have to hunt mobs AGAIN.

try to think about what I just said, it's like the zakum jump quest from 2006, just x10 times harder cause you have to hunt mobs for 5 minutes. everytime just to eneter the jump quests and fail 100 times.

I reallyed enjoyed playing this game, and was spending alot of money buying NX, but after this I just realized they do it for fun, create cancer quests like this, and force you to lose your soul because the EXP and fragments are too good to skip.

Am I mistaken or does there not being a soul cost mean there's no downside to dying if you use that soul? Souls only give a little bit of attack when a weapon is fully charged, but 5 or 10 attack is nothing in comparison to being able to get an extra 100% for a burst.

Some people have brought up the idea of pity pitchies as a way to increase their accessibility, especially in heroic, but wouldn't increasing the clear limit be a better approach? Ctene is like midgame now so do they really need to be weekly bosses? Just make everything up to vhilla a daily clear. If the boss crystals are an issue then just make it so you can only sell 1 from each boss per week.

you people are missing the point that pitched isnt just a heroic problem. its a gms problem.

interactive needs pitched pity as much as heroic does. currently the prices are way too high. we should be able to buy out a set of pitched and work on them for events to have legion champs geared out in 18* pitched set just like as intended in KMS. (I think even like 5~6b over there can actually get you full pitched or close to it, ignoring badge/tc/emblem of course)

without that the 30* change will just drive up prices even further instead as whales buy up what little inventory there is in the AH, and the game will be unplayable for f2p

People said that Dave is fun I just find it annoying. There should be a secondary weapon for getting rid of the small fish, like a shotgun for hitting multiple at once. The harpoon sucks because there's a pause between you hitting the fish and actually starting the mashing minigame, during which you can get hit.

You don't grind fucking mesos on reg. I'm not even that person you're arguing with but it sounds like you're just misinformed. Nothing costs more than ctene crystal rates besides pitch gear. You can get most gear for a ctene mule for under 10b if you pick smart, and that mule will sustain and build further ones out (or you can just use it to stockpile maple points).
It's wild to think that someone actually believes grinding out a couple dozen mil every HOUR with senpaitachi and gear is even worthwhile. Nobody does that on reg besides venezuelans.

It is different, but that's because of maple point value, not crystals. The low level gear (IE arcane and below) is worthless on reg in GMS, unlike in KMS where there's enough flow to keep it in low-er stock, relatively speaking. It takes virtually nothing to completely equip a mule with gear that will allow it to further sustain without further investment unless you want to push it higher. THAT is what kobe and steve have always talked about, how it's harder to gear in KMS, and mules are more valuable due to it. In GMS you just have gollux and it shits on an enormous range of very difficult gearing slots in KMS. Where arcane is still selling for relatively higher amounts due to meso limits in KMS, in GMS there's an absolute flood of the stuff, people sell boxes for under a fucking bil REGULARLY.
Really though it all falls back to bots and how GMS doesn't do anything to stop them, as long as that's the case, none of this shit matters at all because they'll just keep pumping trillions of mesos into the market weekly.
