I would just pick 1-2.

I like the "shield wall" where one player stands in front to tank and the others can dps. Maybe there's a brief respite where coordinated teams can swap tanks quickly to distribute the damage.

What is the absolute fastest way to level up all the combat skills as a free to play beginner with no friends, no guild, no connections, no card swiping?

Is it just do security dungeon for 10k -> Kill chickens -> Upgrade gear every 10 levels -> Kill cows -> Kill the grasshopper things in stronghold of security?

Right now killed chickens for feathers to level fishing for healing items, killing over 500 cows to level crafting via leather, then that might put me at 20 combat / 20 strength / 20 hp / 20 defense. Also killing random imps for the beads for that wizard quest. 7 red beads, 1 black bead. Bad luck.

Sal's is the comfiest. Runehq is the best for calculators. I remember taking 3 hours on monkey madness using Sal's guide maybe a year after it came out. Coming back and doing it with quest helper was night and day.

This is one of the worst games I've ever played in my life. How the fuck is it so popular? Yes, this game requires ungodly hours spent to get to late game, but this game is "AFKable". People aren't spending 5000 hours driving their characters around having to execute their rotations like WoW, they're AFK fishing, doing something else and just clicking the spot every 1 minute or whatever. People aren't joking when comparing this to an idle game.

But if you really want to, you can play super actively. It's a choice, and part of what people like about this game so much.
Also, unlike WoW, you don't have everything stacked at the end game. There is shit you can do at all stages of your account, and early/mid game is SOVLful as fuck.

Had to switch to attack mid round because the original attacker was using a rune scimmy, making rounds take so long.

Haven't played osrs in about 4 months after binging it for a few months to get the quest cape. Really enjoyed questing however I hit a point in the optimal quest guide where I needed to grind for 15-20 hours to get that agility suit which weights nothing and gives bonus energy and stuff. I've only ever worn graceful when I do farm runs, and even then I wasn't dropping below like 90 run energy because I have teleports near most herb patches and the house pool to regain stamina

You know when the game only went as far west as tiranwnn and the Lunar isle was brand new, I spent a lot of time just looking at the map. It's interesting how timeless the early game realizations are. You need to find a bank next to a smelter, then an anvil. I always enjoyed wanting an item, looking up how to get it, where to farm the ingredients, and just napping out the entire process, then comparing it to other methods for time, xp gained, money saved, everything. i derive so much fun from this routine and yet it seems like it's a foreign idea to many new friends that just want to follow a guide and start farming gwd or something.
