their dumbass minigame isnt balanced around it and its just gigga buffed some jobs and nerfed others badly
you cant make a change like that without thinking how every job in the game interacts with CC skills, which should have been overhauled before making that change

Normally a developer would keep an eye on it, and release patches pretty quickly at first for the obvious issues
but SE patches their game once every four months so FAT CHANCE of this gamemode not being dead within this patch

so basically now if you get targeted by more than 1 player you just instantly melt, or if youre some faggot job with aoe cc you can just 1v5 ( slight exaggeration )

Purify change is good and you are just bad if you think it ruined PvP.

It has a 4s CD so there's a 2s window where you can be CC'd again.
The actual issue people have with it is Purify, which used to be free, uses the same resource as Recuperate, so you have to choose between healing and cleansing, and this puts massive strain on your self sustain. This is due to the abundance of AoE crowd control skills and certain classes like WHM having skills that also burn your MP (on top of also being CC by themselves) so everyone is having their MP drained extremely fast and the classes that were already good due to CC spam have gotten even more deadly because every bit of CC is one less heal, aka 15,000 HP worth removed from the target.
SE never nerfed crowd control skills to compensate the Purify change so classes like WHM BRD, RDM, PLD, are all much more powerful.

*picks bard, drains 5k mp with lb and 2.5k mp with silence*

In 7,2, if a WHM hits you with Miracle of Nature, you use Purify and get rid of it, then a BRD tries to root you, but you still had 1s of Purify's CC immunity left so it doesn't do anything.
Now, a WHM will Miracle of Nature you and you need to burn MP to get rid of it (-5k mp) and Purify's CC immunity only lasts 2s now, so the BRD's root goes off and you need to Purify to get rid of that too, so another -2.5k mp. Now you're out of resources and die. It would play out nearly the same if you don't purfiy, because if you heal, now you can't cleanse the root and get blown up.

CC is stronger, Purify is weaker, WHM is broken AGAIN.
