I'm not exactly Eternity level but I made it to Diamond by more than accident. Nah i fill tank a lot. Venom's aim is one of the hardest in the game. Mag has a giant projectile with no headshot needed and decent damage, same with strange, Cap has an animation cancel, you can learn that in range pretty fast, the trick is to cancel when you hear the shield sound. Maybe getting fliers out the sky and juggling people in ult is harder on hulk. But aim wise, venom is the most wrist pain inducing shit ever

When you have an Ultron and Adam as your healers for example you have to play it more safe and not be as aggressive. Match making is supposed to equalize your win rate to 50%. The reason why you get sub-50% WR monkies in your team when you do good is because there is a separate invisible ELO that's keeping track of who is a carry for that rank and gives you those sub-WR monkies to balance the teams. 1) This is a team game and the teammates Match Making deals to you is contributing to the perception of EOMM.
2) Visible Ranks have clear sub-50% requirements to climb.

So if match making is working correctly, it has to work on an invisible ELO or people who are hardstuck at a rank must have 50% WR or fall out of ranks when they go under 50% WR but clearly neither is happening.

For a person experiencing perfect matchmaking with 50% WR, that means inevitably when their WR pokes higher than 50%, the system will match you with <50% WR players to ensure the invisible ELO balances on both team.

This is not even considering team comp where even if it's an even 1/3 chance to get a team mate of each role, you only have a 10/81 chance to get 2/2/2 by pure luck that leads to more eomm complains.

On top of that, he has a sweet spot to poke from, and not as viable as other poke heroes.
If you use the anti heal dash, it puts you into the very frontline, forcing you to use block to back away.
Meanwhile, the enemy tanks can just easily shield themselves and wait it out, while the healer can still continue healing the tank.
If you play his melee, he's so bad that the healers can actually kill you before you even charge up to 10 charges for maximum speed. So it's useless against, tanks, dps & healers.
His ult is easily avoidable and can't kill anybody without a teammate to hold the enemy in place.

I believe, like Magik, he can. Problem is how hard is to pull de animation cancel, at least you don't have to rely on aim that much like Magik.

Then his lifesteal feels weak as shit, genuinely not having it at all and having normal healing would be better because random strategist extraneous healing flying around outheals him hitting people at full stacks (he heals for about 30 hps)

Thor is bad at high levels when people are more coordinated and he has easily the least survivability out of all the Vanguards. No one talks about pubs/randoms when it comes to character balance because I can still stomp tryhard meta shitters in QM with Scarlet Witch, and she's arguably in an even worse position than Thor.

The issue is that at high levels, unless the team is coordinated, you're pigeonholed into playing Emma and Mag as a vanguard main. It gets even worse if they get banned as while it does allow other tanks like Groot and Hulk to play, it means that Wolverine has a chance of getting through, and none of them can play if Wolvie exists.

You win 1 team fight on the cart and there won’t be a second because you’d all have moved it to the next before then. When people first got mad at Skill Based Matchmaking in casual games and playlists, companies started saying "We don't use SBMM! ...We use EOMM" and I'm perfectly willing to believe it's something along these lines where it's not "engagement based" but also does not do it's best to give fair and balanced matches.
