I still don't know I feel about the game. I feel like the maps are too small so you don't have too much room to breathe between fights. It is enjoyable enough when you're not immediately being beamed for minutes at a time

Presentation can't be understated.
If they had used the same 4 maps for the beta, but had Liberation Peak be the extra map put out this weekend and had the other 3 only last weekend, the conversation would be substantially different.
But because they put out the smallest map last, it dominates the discussion on map size.
Perception is everything.

The overwhelming majority of us are having fun. We're just playing the game instead of shitposting.
You'll notice the difference in sentiment when the beta ends, just like how it was extremely positive between beta weekends.

I have 700 hours in BF4 and at least another 500 between BF3 and BC2 on PS3. I rarely participate in discussions about Battlefield, so these are authentic thoughts.

This was on my wishlist for BF6:
32v32 maximum
dedicated rush maps
no sliding, slow movement
slow animations
strict classes
skins grounded to real life

I knew most of this wouldn't happen, EA is a business and appealing to normies is ehat makes the most money. I am surprised they re-introduced Rush in a low player count, I hope it ends up working as well as it did back in the day.

I think that maybe, and that is a hard maybe, a quarter of my engagements I'm shooting at an actual enemy I can visibly see and make out. The vast majority of the time I'm shooting at what I think could be an enemy or under a glowing chevron.

just played 5 rush games
the starting LMG, SMG, and AR dont feel effective.
the sniper rifle is the only effective weapon ive used so far.

normally i hate playing the sniper in BF games, and would rather sneak behind enemy lines with a carbine. but the other weapons remind me of going paintballing, using a rental gun, and not being able to hit 10 people 10 feet away who didnt even know i was there (im sneaky)

though even with the sniper rifle, im noticing its not always a 1 hit headshot kill, even when its the only part of them i can see.

My kind anon... It has PC players of course the cheating is rampant. There has been at least one cheater in each of the 82 matches I've played and nothing will ever happen to them. Than again I pay 11 dollars a month for the cheat package I have which all but ensures I wont be banned so that isn't surprising.

This is the actual biggest problem with the game right now.
The main game SHOULD be somewhat better since the casuals who are only here because it's free and a cultural happening won't be there. Plus Blops 7 comes out a few weeks later.

I still think the second biggest problem is the spotting system.

The only real issue I have on PC, is I got old man eyes and the scopes have a wonky lower frame rate effect or some sort of resolution scaling that makes things look poorly pixelated and not as clear as other games with scopes. Not sure if it's because of settings or just the state of the game atm but time will tell. I did a bunch of warming up in 2042 and I use the thermal scopes to help with vision and could get on target and headshots pretty easily without trading/dying as fast. Whereas in this game even with first shots on target, depending on the weapon a lot of the times I just lose to a flick shotgun, quick turn around M417, or someone a little too far distance from me that I can't quite pick out through all the fog/haze/bloom.
Despite that still having a ton of fun.

Assaulting the Hill at the end of Lib Peak Rush is pretty kino

The destruction in 6 is already 10x better than in any previous title just because you can selectively blow up floors/ceilings. Actual gameplay. A lot of pointless detail that adds flavor in the micro destruction too like ejected casings having collision physics or shattered glass sticking to your gun model.

I have not played Conquest since 4 and only played Operations in BF4.
In Beta people just run around as a huge hoard and capping flags. If you try to do anything independent you will just get run over by the enemy hoard. So you stick with yours. To get kills you have to be hyper aggressive and overextend and hope you get revived once you get killed, which usually happens. Was conquest always like this? I don't remember it being this cancer.

And I loved Operations in BF1, Breakthrough in 6 isn't even close to being good but at least it has some resemblance of a focused fighting
