I've never played without them but I really like the different feel of Preservation's options, they seem both impactful and flavorful but my main gripe is with some of the class talents, there's too much stuff that's too good not to take and should just be baseline and it means missing out on some fun stuff

i made it to 38 and i don't see how it'd be a whole lot different. stats still stack on weapons like the cape. most of the gear slots are practical filler like last time and it wasn't hard to get bis items last time either when you could get epics from the world. seems like they just dropped gems and tinkers to have the skills on rings and trinkets.

i'm not really concerned about the added difficulties after seeing how quickly people were done last time. hard to see it being anything other than hitting 80, do the big daily quests and raid tours for a few weeks, then that 's the power floor a group needs for mythic again. no lifers can push m+ and that's just their black hole. the difference between the was maybe a group 150k threads was sufficient to 1 shot garrosh and the no lifers that farmed out on the island portal for hours on end were running around with around 2 million. even without frogs helping move the overall power forward most people were probably going to be done in 3 weeks or so.

even that they seemed to have slowed early solo world leveling some didn't seem like it'd be too big a deal. you could already just do nothing in lfr to level about 24 hours in to it being up so just leveling there won't be too far off retail timewalking. i would hope people weren't seriously expecting the old dungeon leveling with the huge bulk bronze drop too again right from the start.

only bad thing i saw was not having the teleport scroll things buyable but if you get like >1.5 per raid or dungeon those will just stack up and not matter. those were really nice for soloing last time to be able to pop back to an instance. gates are whatever when people can just come in and get massively carried at the end when people can tell you about how many hours/days/weeks you need to clear the vendors. if it's much harder than any of these other just show up events are at this point it'd be surprising.
