From the way it's worded, yes. And it doesn't even have to be a card you own technically. If you Book of Moon an opponent's monster it's a legal target for the card and if you chain Compulse to Bot Herder targeting the face-down monster your opponent controls, then it counts to the condition of being no longer on the field which triggers the effects even if it isn't your monster. Probably not going to come up since the card is obviously a gimmick and even then this is a really fringe interaction but it is true.

Links fix pend godawful consistency issues by searching scales or putting shit on hand. Electrumite act as glue to most pend decks because is universal searcher and with astrograph it can go plus 3 easy.

Problem is, it kinda fixed a bit too well and result was limit slapped not much after,specially because astrograph isn't OPT, not like it matters since dedicated links are far better than electrumite. Also Konami never addressed issue that pendulum decks have fuck all to do with free bodies, apo is good but nowhere impressive and got banned as now.

D/D is a MASSIVE outlier. They have nearly a hundred cards in their archetype so you have a lot of options in a xeno-lock.
Abyss Actor is an example of a deck that xeno locks and has few options, so when they pop off they don't really do anything without actively avoiding those locks first.
But even avoiding the locks puts them in an awkward situation where there's just not really anything to make. Most generic endboard tools are straight up gone and the non-generic tools are either non-existent or mediocre as fuck

If Konami could find a way for PSCT to remove the HOPT line and any Special Summon OPT lines, it would cut down on so much text.
Much like "during either player's turn" became "Quick Effect" in terminology, they just need to come up with a term that means "You can only use this card effect of this card's name once per turn" and use it.

Yeah, but in the show the Tuners turn into the Synchro rings that envelop the non-Tuners, right? Makes sense for like Dark Resonator to turn Vice Dragon into RDA but Soul Resonator turning Bone Archfiend into RDA is a tad annoying. That's like a non-issue though, several of the other Signer Dragons have some sort of little version and I think an RDA one would be nice too. I don't think that's the case. Waifu Wars was like the most populated tournament we've held, at least while I was here all the time, and that was a whole 3 hours earlier and on a Saturday as well. Most of my big number tourneys were an hour or so earlier too, we just had so many players that I was even asked to move it back an hour or so a few times because they'd take all fucking day. I think people just aren't playing the game here much anymore. While we did have a semi resurgence in March it all clearly died down when 4chan went down. Maybe it will get better, but there's nothing I can do beyond just trying to get more people to play by hosting tourneys more often.

Most other card games aren't built like Yugioh's archetypes.
Where we have shit like "Yummy" made of all the Yummy cards, they would have something more like "Link Burn" featuring a focus on Links and a focus on burn cards.
And in those games, decks just sort of getting new tools seemingly by chance rather than a specific co-ordinated shill effort each time. One day a Link card that burns comes out and suddenly Link Burn is back on the menu as one of the best decks.
Meanwhile in Yugioh, if you aren't specifically shilled enough with a near-laser focus to get new cards then you aren't doing DICK. Even if you DO get new cards, they need to be the super shilled ones that suck your cock for cost in order to actually do anything.

They get powercreep and actually honest to god rotate, but they fundamentally make cards, decks and general design completely differently.
Decks focus on a concept rather than a uniting tag or name, and are mostly referred to with their colors. The closest you'd get to a Yugioh-adjacent designed deck is Boros Mice where the set Bloomborrow introduced a LOT of Mice and it created a functional aggro/burn deck where you just slap a bunch of Mice together and some buff spells and go to town, much like how you would slap together an archetype's cards to make their deck.
The closest equivalent we have to MTG decks are the slop decks like Dragon Link. I'd probably say Cyberse Link spam too, but those decks usually are just Link slop tumors on the side of an existing archetypal focused deck (i.e. Maliss is Link slop but Maliss is still a prevailing focus of the deck itself)

Firstly, I think its funny you think any Judge would ever give half a fuck. So that concept is fucked then and there.
Secondly, if a Judge is required to manage the times, then its likely you are suggesting that the time rules suddenly change when you are on stream vs when you are not, which is retarded. Game rules should not change because there is a camera on you.
Thirdly, the general concept of chess clocks and such just don't function well. Yugioh has a lot of moving pieces and you cannot assume anything, so you must pass priority which involves giving the opponent the ability to respond, which should be on their clock time. So you need to, after beginning and resolving each action, pass priority to the opponent via the clock. They, in turn, would need to immediately pass priority back with the clock.
