If you don't get her now, you will buy her or whatever other meta support you don't have with the select ticket when it resets in a couple of months.

The most ideal scenario for you to skip her is if you already have Rio, Kisaki, and D. Aru. If you're still plugging in those gaps, then you literally need every meta support you can get. The meta supports are what allow consistent plats as borrowing the DPS is way easier than all the supports. This is all moot if you're fine with gold however.

NYFuuka with her crit damage buff damage synergizes better with students like Mika or any student with high crit rate.

I also love just how easy it is to use her. Unlike Rio or Seia/Ui she creates a proper 3 cycle so the skill order is always the same.

I was going to post this last week but we all had better things to talk about then, and i hope this doesn't come off as too long or blogposting, but i need to vent/confess.
5 months ago i had a meltdown over a translated summary of Miracle Pancake (fueled by extra JP and Gehenna in general dooming) and made an absurd rant about wanting to petition it out of the game. I made a mess, apologized a week later and hoped to be wrong about everything, but couldn't quite cope with the feeling that it was just bad and obsessed over it an unhealty amount waiting for the global version, so i could confirm whether my issues were due to poor translation or just how it was.
The event released and pretty much everything i didn't want it to be turned out to be right. It's all been discussed here already so i won't bother with the small things, but my main gripe was with how shallow Juri's development was. Her driving goal just... solved? No revelation or comprehension about herself, retaing a failure rate with no method to madness or direction for further improvements, the progression being presented without a connection to her previous attempts but closer to a toggle that was turned off. In the end the fact she could make pancakes was presented as the happy ending, but i couldn't feel it. The risk of a monster coming out was not addressed, she has basic empathy to feel bad if that happened and thus remained limited to assistance duty in the kitchen, not cooking like Fuuka as she wished.
I still wanted to do something, but couldn't find the words to properly rally any discontent, convey all that and the other issues i had.

So 2 weeks ago i was debating other events and promised anon i'd re-read his favorite event, which turned out to be -ive aLIVE. I was sure there would be nothing of value to be learned there, it was easy to see MP was a band-aid to prevent a dead month, while aLIVE had actual effort and passion put into it, and went way harder than it had to. Then i got to the line in the first pic and everything just clicked.
The protagonist of the story. It was obviously Airi there, and it was so obvious the story was about her that i didn’t think about it before. But thinking about Juri’s event, what did Juri even do? She made the monster – that makes her the instigator, nothing more. She went after it – Sena did most of the investigative work, Juri provided no contribution there. She stopped it at the end – the scene was shared with prefect team political bickering. So why pretend the event is about her?
After that epiphany the re-reading the event it just felt wrong. I’m used to some character writing or story that doesn’t make sense, but it really feels like this one fundamentally doesn’t belong in the game. It’s less about being a bad event and more that it isn’t a Blue Archive event at all. It’s not about students, what they feel or think, just about a kaiju attack and reacting to it.
I went on a re-reading spree afterwards and it was great, really reminds me why i love my students and despite avoiding translated summaries since my meltdown, what little spoilers trickled down from fanart and conversations makes me look foward to the future. I wish they’d rewrite this one event before reruning, but that’s not up to me to decide, hope you had your fun with it and keep having fun with the following events anons.

Juri was unfortunately designed as a bit side character. Bit side characters are perfectly fine in something with a plain linear story which focuses on a few main characters. However in a gacha game that tries to shine light on many characters, it becomes very hard to get out of the corner they painted themselves in. Essentially she was never intended to be a main character.

You can tell from the initial rarity assignments who they intended to be bit characters and who they intended to be main ones, but something changed at some point where a lot of lower rarity students broke out and the star amount became meaningless over time. Though thinking about it, some initial 3*s were also bit side characters. Izumi, Saya, Sumire, etc. One wonders if some of them got arbitrarily promoted to inflate the 3* pool which is something that does happen.

Not every story needs to be character-driven, involve a deep resolution, or be fundamentally important. Little stories are not less important than the big ones. I'm not going to hedge words, your writing and emphasis clearly makes you out to be someone who is taking things far too seriously. Not just the story itself, but the entire situation.
In the end, BA is a gacha game featuring a giant multitude of characters/students. Its writing will have highs and lows, but more importantly, it will never perfectly fit your standards. The people writing it have deadlines and restrictions, and not every student will get adequate spotlight.
There's no need to get upset about it. Even more, there's no need to obsess. To do so misses the point of BA entirely and it's something that is far too common in the fanbase despite its messaging.
Mistakes can be forgiven. There will be a next time. Failure isn't an end. Rather than hope Juri can continue to grow in the future, you get upset she didn't get to change massively here and now. Simply getting hung up on your disappointments which are never good to hold onto.
If BA continues, Juri will appear again, and each time, she may progress further and further. It might be a long time, she might never get another alt, but that doesn't make her meaningless.

She actually didn't interact with them much at all. They centered the entire event around sensei and Airi talking in secret as Airi wasn't able to talk earnestly to her friends, and Airi meeting a new character from Wildhunt, whom Airi saw as a more ideal version of herself. They used sensei and the new character as springboards for Airi confronting her inadequacy and her feelings, and they did that without relying on ASS club at all until the end. You can write an entire event about Juri not being sure whether she's cut out for cooking and whether she deserves to keep being in the club without growth all this time, use sensei and her character as the narrative focus, create a new character who is also struggling at something to bond with Juri, as Juri wonders whether there's any point to keep trying
And sensei also talks to Fuuka throughout the chapter as Fuuka explains why she trusts Juri, why she believes in her ability. Some shit happens, Juri sees her new friend get better at her own hobby as well, Juri decides there's still hope for her as well and decides to keep trying, and at the end of the event she finally makes a dish correctly. The entire event culminates in her finally doing it right once.

There will always be a side character. ASS itself is a side club, but within it, the main character is Airi. Kazusa herself has her history/story with Reisa at least.
Yoshimi however is what I would describe as a character that just is while Natsu is the bit side character.
Airi seems the plainest, but that is the vehicle to make her the most notable out of her club. Due to this she has the deepest theme of estrangement and failing to live up to the ones around her whereas her friends have no such worries. But this paradoxically makes her friends the side characters.

The reality is some students will always be off on the sidelines as the spotlight focuses on the main character of a story. More importantly, some students just don't have much of a story to really tell even if you put the spotlight on them. Yoshimi and Natsu are prime examples.

Tsurugi is obviously a powerhouse who can recover from any sort of wounds and almost nothing can stop her when she enters her berserk mode. At the same time, she's one of the few members of JFD who don't fixate on Gehenna so this may have been the reason why she was picked over Hasumi, who hates them (even moreso after V3) - so you could assume that while Hasumi is more adjusted to be a leader, someone smart decided that since Gehenna students are the usual troublemakers from other schools there, they need someone in charge of JTF who doesn't hate them with burning passion.

The point is every girl can be a heroine when necessary
Which means the heroine can shift each event

First event it was Kazusa, second event it was Airi, and you can easily make it Yoshi or Nutsu next event. That's the ideal you're aiming for with this game, "Any girl can be a heroine". When a girl is playing the heroine, the others are regulated to side characters, but just because they're side characters at the moment doesn't mean "Counter point Yoshimi can never never be a main character because she wasn't this time", that's not how it works. You want anyone to be able to be the star of their own event, to show a different side of themselves one day. A character not being the main character at the moment isn't proof they're absolutely theoretically impossible to ever be a leading character, you would have said the exact same thing about Airi before her event.

If you don't believe in that ideal; then all you're left with is "Every gehenna event is about hina and the backup dancers, every hyakki event is about Shizuko and the backup dancers, etc etc". No, hyakki events sucked when it was always about Shizuko, just like Gehenna events suck when they're always about Hina, the story benefits the most when anyone can play a leading role.
