You could stick to 10.0; Radkampf and the brittle bone disease 2a4 are very good. Can throw in Swiss Hunter and Mi24, which are solid. I got a lot of downtiers two weeks ago that way.

10.3 doesn't feel worth it. The Puma is a midmobile, the Tams protection isn't as silly as it was like 3 years. F4F is a very fun platform, especially once you get good at ccrp bombing.

2AV isn't worth it. It got the same turret basket nerf as the 2A4s and a 10.3 dm33 slinger with no 5sec reload rubs me the wrong way. 2K has similar protection and Boxer MGS is a cv90 (very good) with the downside of being on wheels and not tracks (not so good).

Ie then bmp2m, bmd4 have IRST lock for targeting planes and drones. But given that in real life it is pretty hard to spot drones or even low flying aircraft in anything but flat empty plains, how do they even get a lock? Same thing with some of the CV90s, begleit and 2s38. Do they have some kind of datalink with a large radar/actual sam/spaa nearby? I cannot see how effective this would he in real life except maybe a last ditch effort to scare off planes and drones assuming they are spotted.

I, as a player of War Thunder™, want to see fully spaded enemy planes 1.0 above my BR if it means I don't have to wait a second longer to get into a match, this enables me to go in, die, and queue again very fast. By no means do I think planes should have dynamic BRs based on weapon loadouts and equipped modules, like they already do with different game modes or have them space out BRs where planes from different eras don't face each other. After all having ~7 BRs for the whole of ww2 and having ~7 years for the 50 years after is is reasonable, as they had about the same advancement in technology.

9.3 sees a lot of full uptiers, but you can only stick 8 10.3 players total into any 9.3-10.3 match. You only really start to see full downtiers become much more likely when a BR is completely spammed to death and that BR +1 isn't all that popular.

Doubt it. Volumetric doesn't really cause problems unless you have overlapping plates, really weird angles or weird structures. The Tiger II (P)s mantlet is as easy as it can get, it's a very simple, rounded structure with no overlapping plates at all. It will remain significantly easier to pen than Panther and Pershing mantlets.

Very much so because it has an actually good gamemode much unlike the glorified TDM of ARB. But I have to say: I enjoy it in spite of the ruleset (only full controls, no markers, forced first person view) and only when the planes get fairly handheld with radars, RWRs, SAS and missiles.
