Because Wilds isn't fun.
Putting aside the SHIT performance on PC, the game has fundamental design philosophy issues.
It's lost the friction that was the core of Monster Hunter.
In older titles, the monsters fucked you up, so you learned their attacks, you waited for openings, you learned what parts are weak spots and targeted them specifically.
In Wilds? None of this applies.
You don't NEED to prepare, you can just grab herbs and honey on the fly
You don't NEED to actually find the monster, learn it's habitat and behaviour the auto-run chicken takes you straight to it.
You don't NEED to target its weak spots, you make the weak spots yourself with Wounds
You don't NEED to farm monsters over and over, mastering their move set because you'll have enough materials after one or two hunters for a full set and weapons.
You don't NEED to learn the map. Ore and herb nodes are right there on the minimap for you, the taxi chicken will take you straight to them.
I love monster hunter, I've played since PS2. World is one of my most played games, it was more casual than the older titles but had just enough friction for it to be accessible but still recognisably MH.
Wilds isn't a MH game, it's a boss rush simulator.
