I was thinking here and I realized what valve is doing, valve is going to make 2 maps for dota, we have this expanded map now with all the extra camps and outer terrain and we have the classic dota map that is like 25% shorter than this, they will at some point bring back the older map, keeping the changes they've done in the inner part of the map and when you queue for a match you'll get in a game and it'll be 50/50 whether you get the expanded map or the normal map and you'll have to have a hero pool for each map, as we know, global heroes and heroes that jump around like mk are much better in the expanded map but wouldn't be on the normal map

It's when you use an skill/item on an enemy hero that is out of range of the skill/item.
An example is if the enemy took Aegis and will probably push into your base. Place an Observer Ward on the low ground in a good spot outside of your base. When the enemy team arrives, stand a bit further back and use Eules/Hex/Orchid/etc on the Magnus (that is likely sitting a bit back and waiting to initiate) and your hero will move towards him to get in range. Then you stop and move a bit backwards again, and use it on Magnus again and repeat that. If Magnus blinks into your base he will place himself in range of your Euls/Hex/etc. and will get instantly disabled (and will call you a cheater and report you for scripting).
If the Magnus is smoked, or if for example you're the team pushing highground but have no vision of the Magnus, you can spam click your Hex/Euls/etc. on your carry that is hitting the tier3 so if the Magnus blinks on him to Skewer you'll instantly disable him.

This doesn't work if the Magnus pre-used his BKB before blinking in, or if he has Linkens and you don't have another ability to stop him when it pops.

Bane's ulti is just like Crystal Maiden's ulti, you need to either wait for someone else to initiate, the enemy to waste some disables and then use it and/or buy bkb (though some spells will pierce bkb, like silencer's ulti), if i'm not wrong his aghs also makes it very hard for the enemy team to interrupt your ulti since you spawn clones that will keep channeling the ulti even if you move. The safe fast way to farm I've seen is for Dire the top right two camps above top lane, then the two low ground main jungle camps closest to the T2, that brings you back through the lane so you can wave clear to add to your farm (twice if you do it on the way down), you just run through it clockwise and can clear it every minute (potentially getting both top waves).

You dont pick a hero like in league/dota/whatever. You create a roster of at least 3 heroes and can assign them priority levels. The game will give you one of the heroes randomly, so obviously if you like a hero thats popular you won't be getting it often. There is a resurgance in the playerbase because the devs have released 6 heroes at once across the last 2 weeks, if you want to play 1 of them you still need to select 3 older heroes, good luck trying to play them.

So now, what's dota known for? It's a hard game, but why is it hard? It requires not only knowledge, but also the ability to stay focused and keep trying to make the best decisions possible at a given time. Unlike League, you can't expect to have success by blindly following someone else's build, you need to think which items are needed for the current game. And Deadlock is like that too, but on top of that, there are mechanics like aiming and the movement stuff. So you still need to farm (and unlike Dota, you need to aim at the creeps and shoot them, though you dont have to last hit them at least), still have to care about denies, think about macro, whether to farm a lane or the jungle, ask yourself if you should be splitting off and farming or staying with your team as a possible teamfight is looming AND ON TOP OF THAT, you need to have a somewhat decent aim (shooting is a very important thing in this game, it's not like a moba in that regard, the spells can be strong but it isn't dota) and some mechanical movement skill. You have stamina which can be used to dash/double jump/combo these two, everyone is dashing around all the time which makes shooting harder, it's not static like cs.

I'd write about itemization but my post is too long, it's more like Dota where you have to think on the fly and buy counter items

6/7 of my last games we've lost 2 or 3 lanes in each of them. Somehow we were able to make 3 comebacks, I probably would have quit dota today if not for that.
